Falmouth Vacation Rental house

We rented this property with our daughters and their families. There were 6 adults and 3 children. It is a large home. There was plenty of space for us to be together as well as to have privacy. This home is immaculate, but comfortable too. The owner was very helpful in recommending beaches, restaurants, and things to do. The location was perfect for taking the ferry to Martha's Vineyard or Nantucket. There are many restaurants to select from either in Falmouth or nearby Woods Hole. Our grandchildren, ages 9, 7, and 3 enjoyed the aquarium in Woods Hole as well as the inter-active boat trip, where they were able to touch sea animals. It was difficult to see the ocean views due to a wet spring and heavy growth, however, the owner informed us of that ahead of time, so we were prepared. Renters should be aware that there are a lot of stairs...two short sets leading up to the house, another short set up to the porch/front door, and then stairs to the second and third floors. There is a room with a sofabed and its own bath on the main floor for someone who has difficulty with stairs. We would definitely recommend this property to others as a quiet retreat. Listening to the breeze rustling through the leaves in the birch trees is as relaxing as listening to waves break on a beach. The screened porch is a wonderful place to play board games or read. It was very convenient to have a washer and dryer in the basement for beach towels, etc., in addition to another set on the second floor! There is much attention to detail from the decor to the amenities. The owners have done an excellent job of making this property a wonderful one to rent.
