Dining and Shopping:
Major hotels with fine dining and casinos, well known restaurants, major fast food outlets, i.e. Burger King, Wendy's, KFC, Long John Silver's, Taco Bell, McDonald's, etc., along with general shopping, Walgreen’s Pharmacy, grocery stores, supermarkets and ATM's are all within a very short walking distance. Sam's Club, Costco, and Wal-Mart stores as well as the Plaza Las Americas Mall are available but you'll need a rental car, take a taxi, or the take the city bus for 75 cents.
Attractions:
You will also need transportation to visit the numerous unforgettable attractions that this tropical paradise has to offer. To name a few of my favorites, be sure to tour the Bacardi Rum Factory for a free sip, Old San Juan with it’s narrow cobblestone streets, El Yunque Rain Forest and the breathtaking waterfalls there, visit the University of Puerto Rico Botanical Gardens, check out the Arecibo Observatory, and my most favorite of all, kayak to one of the Phosphorescent Bays.
