GREAT

  • 5 of 5
It is a great house and so Tuscany authentic. Very nice kitchen with a look to the fields. 5 nice bedrooms. Clean house and a very nice and helpfull landlord. Just beside (30 meters) to a small shop selling organic eggs, cheese and oliveoils, 100 meters to one af the best winemakers (La Spinetta . free tours and VERY tastefull wines) etc.
I could continue, but you have to try it your selve. My very best recommendations.

Recreation and Tradition

  • 5 of 5
Our one-week stay in Borgo Fajani (Casa Lanciotto) was unforgettable. It is an ideal place for all who want to relax: admire the views, swim in the pool, drink wine, buy local products (tomatoes, cheese, yoghurt etc.) and enjoy all the tastes of this gorgeous hill with its interesting history and thrilling secrets. You can easily visit the famous cities of Tuscany (we went sightseeing in Florence, Pisa, Volterra, San Gimignano), as well as the surrounding smaller towns, and then return to the clean, silent, quiet and comfortable rooms. We all (a nine-person group from Poland) were also impressed by Alfredo's hospitality and helpfulness.

Great place to stay

  • 4 of 5
Three adults stayed in Il Signorino and enjoyed everything about the villa and the surrounding areas. We had a car, which is a must for staying here. We had difficulty getting accurate directions but and we got lost getting there, but once we got there, everything was great. The hamlet of Casanova is charming - make sure to visit the local cheese store - we waited until the last day and wish we had done it earlier in our stay. Alfredo was helpful with information we needed. We would definitely consider staying here again. The proximity to everything we wanted in Tuscany was great. And the farmhouse was very charming.

Classic Tuscany in June

  • 4 of 5
This place was just what we wanted - excellent spacious property, attentive and helpful landlord, wonderful views, nice pool. Very central for all the main Tuscan towns. We made good use of the bikes in the surrounding countryside too.

We will be back again!

  • 5 of 5
Myself, my husband and our two year old son stayed for one week in Il Signorino and we could not have had a better time. The grounds were breath taking and the house was exactly what I expected of a Tuscan farmhouse. There is a wonderful winery right across the road which cannot be missed. The food in the local towns was some of the best we had throughout our tour of Italy. The location was great to get to so many destinations - including all the hilltowns, Florence and Pisa. Coming home after a day of site seeing and enjoying a glass of wine and the views of the villa is what will have us come back! We highly recommend this place to everyone and Alfredo is wonderful!

Borgo Fajani

  • 5 of 5
We had an excellent stay at Borgo Fajani, a 2 story villa within a very small hamlet, idyllically set upon a Tuscan hillside. The owner, Alfredo, was very friendly and helpful and as we arrived late had left the keys for us and met us the next morning. We had been upgraded to this larger villa from Aflredos adjoining slightly smaller villa. We made us of the free bicycles to travel around one day and this location is well suited for day trips in the car, if you have a little road sense. We didnt have a map or sat nav in our very nice (upgraded also!) Alfa hire car, but still only got slightly lost a couple of times. We visited the Ferrari Museum, Florence, Oulet (for shopping!), & San Gimignano. Even saw a wild boar in the distance on our onward route south to Rome from the hill road to Siena. The villa itself was excellent value for money, clean and spacious, in a countryside setting so plenty of space outside and free parking. The pool wasn't open in April as it was perhaps just a touch chilly for swimming, although being from Scotland we thought it was quite warm! If we have an opportunity to visit Tuscany again, we will definitely try Borgo Fajani!
