Casa Lanciotto

We had an excellent stay at Borgo Fajani, a 2 story villa within a very small hamlet, idyllically set upon a Tuscan hillside. The owner, Alfredo, was very friendly and helpful and as we arrived late had left the keys for us and met us the next morning. We had been upgraded to this larger villa from Aflredos adjoining slightly smaller villa. We made us of the free bicycles to travel around one day and this location is well suited for day trips in the car, if you have a little road sense. We didnt have a map or sat nav in our very nice (upgraded also!) Alfa hire car, but still only got slightly lost a couple of times. We visited the Ferrari Museum, Florence, Oulet (for shopping!), & San Gimignano. Even saw a wild boar in the distance on our onward route south to Rome from the hill road to Siena. The villa itself was excellent value for money, clean and spacious, in a countryside setting so plenty of space outside and free parking. The pool wasn't open in April as it was perhaps just a touch chilly for swimming, although being from Scotland we thought it was quite warm! If we have an opportunity to visit Tuscany again, we will definitely try Borgo Fajani!
