Spectacular Ocean Views from 3 Directions, 5 Min Walk to Beach

We traveled to St. Maarten and rented 'Valhalla'on Dawn Beach. While our expectations were high, we were not dissappointed. The villa was well appointed, well cared for and presented breathtaking views of the bay. The home has two master suites on the main level and two bedrooms in teh lower level, three of which have french doors that open with views of the ocean. One morning we had hump back whales surfacing on the bay looking out from the house. Catherine met us at the airport and escorted us back to the villa and walked us through the property. It has a security system that is easy to use during your stay for peace of mind. Catherine is also available to pre-shop your grocery list so that you are ready to relax when you arrive. With only a short walk to the Westin you can enjoy the beach below. Renting a car provided us the ability to visit many other beaches, restuarants in around the island. We also rented a catamaran for two days to sail around Anguilla. So much to do and see!

We stayed here with our 2 children who are college age. The pictures that Daphne has of the property are right on. The home is very clean and very well maintained. We all had our own space.

Catherine and Ken were so kind and helpful. Ken met us at our car rental agency just as Daphne said and we followed him out to the villa. Would strongly recommend renting a vehicle..sooo much to see and enjoy..Catherine gave us info on many local attractions from restaurants to excursions and the beautiful beaches. We spent our time at the Westin Beach, Orient Bay and Bea Ruge. We endulged in the Westins Sunday Champagne brunch, Buzbys is very close for late lunch/dinner, and happy hour every day 4-6!! Beaus Beau at Oyster Pond (same area) you can hear the Karaoke from the pool deck at the house. We had to check it out..had a nice meal and alot of fun!. We had dinner prepared by Catherine and a friend after our snorkling excursion which lasted 6 hours and at the end of the day - after happy hour -- it was perfect and delicious...absolutely amazing...watch out for the hot sauce!! Would recommend Captain Alans 3 island snorkeling adventure. We swam with sea turtles, manta rays, saw dolphins etc. Ken also told us about the large supermarket that we did shop at and were able to prepare our breakfast and a few dinners. You can get everything there. . Bring as much sun tan lotion as you can. There is a mini mart across from Buzbys which we shopped at a couple of times for quick pick ups.

This was our first time booking thru VRBO and it was a pleasure working with Daphne. She answered ALL my questions. We have recommend to our family/friends/coworkers. We also recommended to a couple we met from CT and their family has a timeshare there but are looking for a place that the whole family could be together. It's a very spacious home.

They said it included airport transfers. They were not there. We took 2 cabs. They did not reimburse us. Nice view. Very windy. They say it is windy Dec - Mar. Pool very cold & deep, not much sun Steep walk to beach. Dinner prepared by caretaker nice, but very expensive. Bedrooms & house nice. It was a terribly bumpy drive to get to the house. No one mentions that. We spent a lot of time at Le Galion Beach. Great beach, fabulous lunch specials at restaurant. The best part of the trip! We would not recommend Valhalla Villa to friends. We were sorry we went there with our friends. They might have new rental agent so that could the reason we were not reimbursed for cab fare ($72). Property was as pictured & clean. Pool & wind the main problems. We have rented houses in the Caribbean many times. We won't give up.
