Home is a charming 1930s dutch colonial with many original features. Two bedrooms, den and 1 full bath upstairs. Sleeps 4. Downstairs large living room with fireplace and french doors, dining room with bay window looking onto large backyard, kitchen with original pine cabinets and slate sink. Perfect house for a couple, or a family with 1 well-behaved child. House has many antiques, so might not be suitable for all children. Pets considered. Wireless Internet included (cable broadband Ethernet hookup available for those without wireless). Washer/Dryer in the basement. Off-street parking for 2 cars. Detached garage. Perennial Gardens. Very desirable Deering Center neighborhood. Walk to playgrounds and playing fields, a great market and cafe, creamery, video store, library, local college and schools and churches. 3 miles from Old Port/downtown and 3 miles from Portland airport.

Portland is a wonderful town - terrific restaurants, art galleries, great boutique shops, beautiful architecture, and even an in-town beach. From the walking/bike path that runs from the Old Port to a 3.5 mile loop around the Back Cove, it's a great walking and biking town. Several beaches are between 15-30 minutes by car, though you can bike, too. Good food, clean air, lots of outdoor music and art in the summer.
