Sumptuous manor built in 1930 on 3 levels, surrounded by greenery and quiet of a wooded park of 21 hectares (52 acres) in a beautiful medieval village, south of Paris, in the valley of Chevreuse, 35 minutes from Paris , 500 meters from an 18 holes golf course and a large horse club and breeding horses farms.
Built by a famous architect, this art deco style mansion was designed to fully enjoy the garden, thanks to the numerous and high openings. The rooms are very bright and enhance the feeling of space. The entrance hall with staircase set the tone for the exuberance of all, with its view overlooking the park and a fountain from the 18th century, and a piano room, reception room with fireplace and a large library in woodwork, dining room with fireplace, home- cinema room in woodwork also, a game room (table tennis, baby foot), large family kitchen with modern dining area, lingerie- and laundry, service door, secondary staircase, sauna, shower room, WC and wash hand for guests.
On 1st floor: a suite of over 40m ² with fireplace, hall, dressing room and large bathroom with marble wall with bath, walk in shower and separate toilet. A connecting room with fireplace and balcony. Aquamarine room with parquet floor with dressing room and bathroom. Opal room with natural fiber floor, dressing room and bathroom. Tourmaline room with parquet floor with dressing room fireplace and bathroom.
On 2nd floor: 2 bedrooms, wood parquet, a toilet and a shower room.

Like A Dream

We were 16 people in total and we stayed for 2 days. Chateau was wonderful and so comfortable even for 16 people. I was so lucky to make such a perfect decision to stay at this property.

5 Glorious days in France

My wife and i accompanied by our daughters and grand children had a wonderful break in this beautifully located chateau. Centered in beautiful woodlands this property boasts a swimming pool and tennis court . Very enjoyable -thank you.

Not recommended, if you expect 5-star-accomodation

positive: - Large green plot in a calm neighborhood - Many rooms - Many activities possible (swimming pool, tennis) - Housekeeper were friendly, polite negative: - outdated equipment (i.e. broken pane in bathroom, damaged carpet, filthy filthy curtains) - color bursts from inside windows - old folding chairs in the kitchen - old sanitary facility - Tennis court dirty and old network completely filthy - There is a table, which is held by a chair, so that the table does not collapse - damaged socket in kitchen (dangerous) - Images do not match with the experience - we took many photos, but unfortunately it is not possible to show these here - payed too high, the price is completely not in relation - in the pictures 5-star optics is shown, but in reality it is only a 2- or 3-star value As we visit the property, we are immediately left to Paris back and all money we paid lost.

Rip off price for a house almost in disrepair - Prix très excessif pour maison quasi à l'abandon

For the price we paid, we expected an exceptionnal place and have been quickly disappointed. House maintenance is minimal. Among other issues: the tennis court is in a dismal state and cannot be used the dishwasher was full of stinking water some sheets had large brown stains at least 2 window handles remained in our hands when we tried to open the window the kitchen appliances (eg dishwasher) are old (20 years +?) I could go on... The TGV (high speed train) tracks are only a few hundred meters away, and planes are constantly flying over the property. Furthermore, the owners were unpleasant before our stay (I had to repeat 3 times that I would not invite dozens of people, I felt like being interrogated or that I was suspected of lying), and despite repeated requests did not give a phone number of someone in charge to be contacted during the week end. Our only contact was a person who, to every question we asked him, answered "'I don't know I'll ask a manager". The word "castle" in the title is a big joke. This is a rip off. ******** Pour le prix, nous nous attendions à un endroit d'exception et avons été très vite déçus. L'entretien est fait a minima, la maison semble presque être laissée à l'abandon. Entre autres soucis: Terrain de tennis inutilisable Lave vaisselle rempli d'eau sale croupie Plusieurs draps tâchés, de grandes tâches marrons Au moins 2 poignées de fenêtres nous sont restées dans les mains L'équipement électroménager est vieux (20 ans ou +?) Je pourrais continuer... Le TGV passe à quelques centaines de mètres et la propriété est sur un couloir aérien. Qui plus est, les propriétaires ont été désagréables lors de la préparation du séjour (on m'a fait répéter 3 fois que je n'inviterai pas des dizaines de personnes, j'avais l'impression d'un interrogatoire ou d'être soupçonné de mensonge), et malgré des demandes répétées n'ont pas donné de téléphone de responsable qu'on puisse contacter pendant le week-end. Notre seul contact était une "petite main" qui, à toutes les questions qu'on lui posait, disait "je me renseigne j'appelle le responsable". La mention "château" dans le titre est une vaste blague. Le prix est très très cher pour ce que c'est.

Mauvais rapport qualité prix - Propriétaire limite

Le site est effectivement sublime et le parc bien entretenu. On y est tranquille pour un WE entre amis et c'était notre cas. En revanche, pour une prestation de ce prix, on s'attend d'une part à ce que le ménage soit fait en arrivant (par exemple le four était immonde... j'ai des photos) et on s'attend à ce que les équipements, et notamment la vaisselle, soient de bonne qualité. La vaisselle de cantine c'est bon pour les gite ruraux... pas pour la "Vie de chateau near Paris" (pas de verres à vin dignes de ce nom,...) Il est également annoncé que la piscine est chauffée ! En fait elle n'est pas chauffée du tout, l'intendant nous a très gentiment répondu qu'il aurait fallu allumer le chauffage de la piscine la veille de notre arrivée. Ah bon ? merci.... du coup elle était glacée. Encore une promesse non tenue... Le propriétaire ne donne pas ses coordonnées, impossible de le contacter !!! Tout passe par un "intendant" qui vous accueille. Il est très aimable mais pas très au point sur le fonctionnement de la maison, notamment des alarmes. A notre arrivée, tous les détecteurs de fumée émettaient un bip strident toutes les 20 secondes. Imaginez l'ambiance dans la maison.... l'intendant nous a dit qu'il ne savait pas comment faire pour arrêter cela, ne m'a pas donné les coordonnées du propriétaire et ne m'a laisser solliciter ce propriétaire que par sms sur son téléphone mobile. Quelle a été ma surprise quant il m'a passé son téléphone pour rédiger mon sms au propriétaire de voir que le sms qu'il venait de recevoir de ce même proprio était du style "S'il y a un pb dis que je suis à l'étranger !". C'est très pro ça... !?!? C'est effectivement ce qu'on m'a dit... à force d'essayer de régler le pb, l'alarme générale s'est déclenchée, l'intendant était toujours sur place pour la désactiver, mais cela n'a pas empêcher une équipe d'intervention d'arriver sur les lieux... au final, après 3 heures à se demander si nous allions rester dans la maison, à discuter avec la société de télésurveillance qui nous a expliqué qu'elle ne gérait pas l'alarme incendie, nous avons réussi à régler ce pb ! Cerise sur la gâteau... la caution ne m'a pas été restituée intégralement ! Et à ce jour, la propriétaire contactée par l'intermédiaire du site il y a plusieurs jours n'a même pas daigné me répondre ! Donc en résumé, le site est beau, mais très cher pour la prestation ! Et il faut accepter d'être pris pour un pigeon par le propriétaire !
