This unique home (Former Bed and Breakfast) is set back off route 1. Directly across within walking distance to footbridge beach. On the trolley line no need to use a car just walk right across to the beach. Perfect for large families. Sleeps up to 14 people. 3 studio-like rooms have queen size beds and sleep sofas, your own private decks and baths. The house features beautiful stain glass windows, along with a galley kitchen and an outside screened in porch-patio. The fourth private bedroom has a full size bed and own bath. All rooms have their own mini fridge and microwave and coffee makers. All rooms come with TVs, Cable and VCRs and DVDs. Beautiful backyard for cook outs. Check in at 4:00 PM Check out at 11:OO AM. Additional information about rental rates

  • $2450.00 a week without linens and towels supplied. Plus a 7% Maine tax and a separate $500.00 security deposit that i will not cash and you will get right back as soon as the house is checked out.
    Linens available for $150 extra. Also cleaning service charge of $150.
    Also if you would like my cleaning lady to come in and clean during the week she will come in twice during the week for $100 extra to clean bathrooms and make beds and do dishes.

    Plus a 7% Maine tax and a separate $500.00 security deposit.
    Half the rental due to hold the week when booked the remaining 2 weeks before rental date.

My family of ten gathered for our first ever summer reunion at Closest Place to Heaven, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

The former B & B provided privacy for 4 families with the perfect neutral zone - the screened in porch. We also ate just about every meal there or at the picnic tables because the weather was perfect!

We would go back again for another reunion!

We were 10 young people and had a very good time in this house. There are 4 bedrooms and some additional sofas. The house is very convenient and well equipped.
We did not have hot water on a morning but the owner fixed it a few hours after we called.
Good price, close to the ocean, clean, very convenient private garden. I recommend that place.

This property is very unique and privately located near footbridge beach. The yard was very neat and private.I would recommend this property for a group of adults who value thier privacy because each bedroom has its own bath and small sitting area. The only room that is large enough for everyone to gather in is the screened in patio which had no television. This property also has no indoor dining area and very little closet/storage space. One of the bedrooms had no closet or dresser. Over all this is a very unique property and I would recommend for adults.
