In the wonderful Sorrentine Coast, overlooking the same panoramic way to Positano and Amalfi, really characteristic rooms and apartments find place in a nice ‘800 palace.

The charming antique building blends with the modern style of all renewed rooms and apartments in order to offer our guest the accommodation prefered: one room or two roomed apartment or a bright and ample apartment with private garden, all endowed with any equipment.

Let you be enchanted by landscape that smells of orange and lemon and that offers a natural show of thousand colours of the Sorrentine Peninsula: from the blue of the sea, which can be seen from the rooms’ windows of our residence, and above all from the beautiful solarium-terrace, to the light blue of the sky; from the yellow of the lemons, to the green of our garden that surrounds the whole building and that will offer you the opportunity to relax and breath the characteristic scent of citrus plants.

Thanks to its favourable position, quite and central al the same time (5 minutes to the sea and 10 minutes to Sorrento), you can easily reach the famous Positano in 15 Km or the wonderful Capri by hydrofall in 20 minutes, or mythical Pompei in half an hour by car or by train.

My husband and I stayed here for a few nights in June and we were very impressed. Stefania was an amazing hostess, very friendly and helpful and she was able to give us several ideas of things to do in the area, including a fun local dinner/dance at a farm that was just down the street. The room as nice - it had a queen size bed as well as a twin bed w/ a trundle bed underneath, which would be great for kids. There was plenty of room for us, and we were happy to have our own bathroom and kitchen. It was clean, well kept and quiet. This was a great place, we would definitely recommend it. and we hope to come back someday!

Disappointing

Some people may find this an enjoyable holiday destination, but for us the location was on a steep location above the town of Meta and at least 5 kilometres from Sorrento and access to the Amalfi Coast. To get to and from train and bus transport in Meta itself was a good half to 1 kilometre walk utilising busy and steeply sloping roads and stairs. The promises by the owners of pick ups on arrival and departure did not eventuate and our first introduction to the site was a walk with luggage of 3/4 of a kilometre at least up a steeply inclined road with very busy traffic.
Our room at the top of the facility was again only reachable using steep flights of stairs and while clean was poky and had no outlook. Frames of at least two of the small windows were not firmly affixed to the wall and the outside furniture we were directed to was ricketty and falling apart.
From our experience, we could not recommend this accommodation.

We rented this property thinking we were just a few minutes from Sorrento . Not the case . It's a walk down a steep hill to the bus or a longer walk down a steeper hill to the train . We rented thinking there was internet service and couln't get it for days . There was a stove and a toaster oven but neither one worked and they got angry when we told them because they said we should have told them sooner , but we were busy the first 2 days and never tried to use them . They would not take responsibility for them not working and kept blaming us for not telling them sooner . We told them it was there responsibility to have them in working order. It was clean and Stefania was a very nice person but wouldn't work with us in our complaint .
Recommended for:  Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway

Stefania and her Mom were both accommodating and very helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the beautiful Sorrento area with their family.

Nice stay during our amazing Italy trip

Casa Stefania is a rental located in Meta near Sorrento. It's a 15-20 minute walk to the train station and another 10 minute train ride to Sorrento. The train can also bring you the other way to Pompei or Naples and everywhere in between. The accomodations are nice but I think a few items could have been better and I'm sure the Owners are working on bringing the best quality service possible. I'd recommend a room in the rear of the property as the street is a little busy at times. There is a nice covered area where you can sit, relax and have a glass of wine outside. Also, across the street is a nice bakery. I think the price is right for the location and the Owners are trying their best. Enjoy!
