GREAT FAMILY WEEKEND

My family spent a wonderful weekend in this beautiful home. There were 10 of us who slept here with 3 more who spent the day at the house. The house design is perfect for having areas where you can spend some quiet time as well as large common living areas with seating for everyone. The atmosphere is very inviting and we all felt very comfortable and at home. The kitchen is very accommodating for all food preparation needs. Plenty of utensils, cook ware, and place settings for all of us. The view of Lake Michigan is beautiful, especially from the top floor bedroom. We had an overcast, rainy weekend, but I am sure the sunsets are amazing on clear days. The pool wasn't open, yet, but several family members spent time in the hot tub. We played a lot of games around the dining room table. The pool table and foosball table on the "man cave" level were a big hit with everyone. We didn't use the fireplace, but there is one on that level as well. Would be an ideal place to spend a winter afternoon. My oldest daughter, her husband, and their 2 kids were quite comfortable in the lower level compound with the 2 adjoining bedrooms and a bathroom. The first bedroom is so sweet with all the farm animals on the walls. Plus, it was a bonus to have some toys for the kids in that room as well. There are 6 very nicely decorated and comfortable bedrooms that easily sleep 12 people. Since the description of the property says it sleeps 16, we figure that the 3 couches plus a portable (pack and play) crib accommodate the other 4. Liquid hand soap is provided at all the sinks. However, if you want bar soap for your shower be sure to bring that with you. Or, it was a very nice convenience to have a Meijer about 2 miles from the house. We actually didn't bring any food with us and shopped when we arrived. There are also restaurants and other shopping options close by. Sat. we took a tour of The Hackley and Hume Historic Site, which was very interesting as well as affordable at only $3/person for a guided tour. Our tour was followed by a tasty lunch at Pints and Quarts Pub and Grill. Lake Michigan is one of our family's favorite destinations for vacation. We aren't usually particular about which town we are close to, but now that we've found this rental home, we'll be thinking of Muskegon and this home as our first choice when our entire family wants to be together. Highly recommend staying here.
