Relax in the family room on comfy couches by the fireplace, or read in the window seat of the Bright Sun Room. Only a 10 minute walk to beautiful Jetty beach, across from the East Chop Yacht Club. Daily sailing lessons are available. There are also Tennis lessons at the East Chop Tennis Club, which has 8 clay courts. On the bluff is the East Chop Light House and the famous 'Jaws' house. Across the harbor, less than a mile away is Oak Bluffs with access to ferry and island wide public transportation. Also available: bike rentals, shopping, dining, nightlife, fishing and the Flying Horses (the nation's oldest carousel). Farm neck golf course is only a short drive away. Your outside activities are only limited by your imagination. There are many diverse and eclectic events open to the public. Art shows abound. There are picinics and concerts in the tabernacle. The annual 'illumination night' and fireworks are not to be missed. Whatever your idea of relaxation is, the Vineyard has it.   • Half the rental fee is due when signing the rental lease. The balance is due 90 Days before arrival, along with a $300.00 cleaning fee. A deposit is required. All deposits will be returned in a timely fashion, if there is no damage. Renters are required to vacate by 10:00 AM on the last day of the lease. Special arrangements regarding, arrival and departure times should be discussed with the owner. Families are encouraged, children are welcomed. However, our home is not baby proof. The Cozy Pink Fish Bedroom is private with it's own Staircase. Enjoy the shade of the large wrap-around porch; or have fun in the Huge Sunny Yard bordered by Pine Trees. The entire interior of our home has been freshly painted & Hardwood floors refinished. We do not allow smoking, pets or large groups. We can not, under any circumstances, accommodate more than 12 people. Families are encouraged, children are welcomed. Our home is not baby proof. Guests with small children should plan accordingly. There is plenty of space for everyone. We offer a discount for monthly and multiple week guests.This enchanting spot will create summer vacation memories which will last a lifetime.

We do not have intercoms or surround sound. Families are encouraged, children are welcomed. However, our home is not baby proof. Guests with small children should plan accordingly, we have no baby gear. We also do not provide towels. We offer a discount and/or an extra day to multiple week guests. Return guests receive preference when booking.

The pictures of this home are great, but they do not do it justice; or tell the whole story. This was by far, the nicest rental we have stayed in since visiting the Vineyard. The owners were responsive, helpful and friendly. This was the best experience we've had renting on the Vineyard.
The house was better than described. It was spacious, full of light, clean, fresh and easy to maintain; not to mention a 10 minute walk to the beach or town!
Additionally the house was large enough, so there was always someplace: yard, porch, sun room, living room, screened in lanai, or reading alcove - to find privacy and solitude, even when vacationing with family and friends.
The kitchen was well equipped (with two full size refrigerators') and easy to cook in. The bathrooms were lovely, especially the two old claw foot bathtubs for soaking and the outside shower was great. What can beat showering under the stars!
We will definitely be returning. I have already recommended "The Bird Bath" to friends. This was truly a home away from home!

A VACATION TO REMEMBER

A vacation to remember! This was our first time on the Vineyard and we could not have been more pleased with our vacation rental. We loved everything about this beach house. The house is large and roomy, lots of space to spread out and lots of places to curl up and read. Every room is charming and beautifully decorated. The house is in a great location - a short walk to the beach and to the center of Oak Bluffs. The owners went out of their way to make us feel at home. Comfortable, cozy and charming. A perfect beach retreat. Many thanks to the Whitmans from our family.

BEACH HOUSE DELIVERS
We had a fantastic vacation. We were very impressed with the property; which was actually larger and more beautiful than pictured. We had plenty of room to spread out, and the kids were thrilled with their rooms. Everything that was promised was here, and more. My wife loved the screened in back porch for coffee and the paper in the morning; while I loved the enormous front porch for dinner and cocktails. We both enjoyed the large dining room for family gatherings.
It was especially wonderful to have such a large yard for the kids to play in. We felt we didn't have to worry about the children in such a safe environment. We could walk to the beach; or town for ice cream and movies. The kids really enjoyed the "Flying Horses" carousel. We loved the Vineyard and the Whitman's House, we will definitely be back next summer. We would like to thank the Whitman Family for their hospitality.
