Ski: Every kind of skiing imaginable is nearby: downhill, cross-country, snowboard, expert to beginner. Probably more ski resorts located in a small area than any other place in the country: Northstar, Donner, Squaw Valley, Heavenly, Diamond Peak, and Mount Rose, to name a few.
Golf: Within a few miles of several PGA courses. Reno-Tahoe Open is nearby.
