Outdoor Activities:
Outdoor Activities include: walking, bicycling, bird watching, fishing, golf, photography, sailing, kayaking, and power boating. There are many interesting aspects of the local communities including: artisans, organic farms and boat building. The house is located in a lobster fishing harbor and you can see the nearby working boats from the house.
It is a short bike ride or drive to a sandy beach for picknicking, swimming and sunbathing. You can launch a kayak from the property or join a guided tour. The town boat launch is within walking distance.
There are walking trails along the ocean and Pleasant Bay that are within walking/biking distance from the house. Hiking in the Great Wass preserve and along the Bold Coast trails is less than one hour's drive, and accessible by car. HIking (and biking) in Acadia National Park is a little over one hour by car.
