Looking for a true mountain cabin experience? A place secluded, peaceful and without neighbors.This mountain cabin is 4500 feet atop High Top Mountain in Heath Peak. It’s hard to believe such seclusion can be minutes from downtown Waynesville and Maggie Valley. Located about 2 miles off I-40 and about 2 miles from Socco Road. This cabin is close to it all, yet you’ll never know it sitting around the outdoor fire pit with friends and family. Rather it’s roasting marshmallows sipping on hot chocolate with family or downing a cold beer with friends telling war stories. This is where you’ll want to be. Our wrap around deck with a BBQ grill and picnic table make for a great time grilling or just plan relaxing gazing at those starry nights. Inside we have the ole time wood burning stove makes for a cozy evening with that special someone and a glass of wine. For your entertainment we have a 32inch Satellite TV with VCR/DVD. All rooms have TV and satellite.

Just wanted to say what a beautiful cabin you have!! What a great way to see the fall foilage here in NC !! The cabin is so cozy and warm and welcoming. The surroundings are so very peaceful. If your looking to get away from it all for awhile, then I suggest this place. I couldnt have picked a better place then here to celebrate my 15 year anniversary. I cant wait to come back!!!! There is so much to do but never enough time here!! I would recommend this cabin to anyone who wants a mountain vacation. Thank you so much for allowing us to use your beautiful and charming home.

Peace and quiet

The cabin was beautifully located almost at the top of a mountain--over 4000 feet up--amidst the trees. It was well supplied with all the necessary linens, cooking utensils, and diversions. The brochures in the cabin were helpful in locating attractions nearby and the books were a welcome addition.

The sofa bed could use some overhaul--hauled out the door, perhaps--but overall the sleeping arrangements worked well.

Great Time in the Mountains

We were very pleased with the cabin. Very secluded, away from the tourist trap areas, yet close enough to get to the Smokies. It was quiet, clean , very comfortable and equipped with everything you could need. Our young adult children came for a visit and were very impressed.. as in " Can we do this again? "

My son has stayed here twice and my husband has stayed once. All three time were in the winter. They deffinately had snow. My son loves staying at this cabin when he goes to NC for snowboarding. Carmen and Bill provided a home away from home and I wanted to thank you both.

We already had rented the cabin last year in May and were as pleased with it as we were then - my only regret is that we didnt have enough time to enjoy all of the beautiful surroundings and do all we wanted to do (like white water rafting the other renter talked about) - the cabin is cute, cosy, very clean, all the amenities (I personally really appreciate the washer/dryer!)and so private - plus you feel safe with the "key system" the way it is (no key needed - just enter a code) - I love the fireplace....and the roomy porch -- We'll definitely come back! and soon I hope.
