High on a quiet north shore hill, surrounded on three sides by conservation land, with views of the Elizabeth Islands and New Bedford, this newly renovated family home is on a secluded, rolling five acre site with a private pond and field. The main house has a generous, well furnished kitchen and dining/sitting area, with a large deck shaded by oak trees that affords spectacular views of the setting sun. A private outdoor shower offers views of the field and pond. There are two bedrooms downstairs, one with a king size bed, built in drawers and closets, and a new private bath, and a second with a queen size bed and fireplace. The cathedral ceilinged second floor affords the best ocean views and includes a fireplaced living room separated by bookcases from a sleeping area with two twin beds and a new bath. Across the landscaped front yard from the main house is a guest cottage with a queen size sleigh bed and tiled bath and shower.

The house is located on a hill overlooking a private field and pond, with no other houses in sight. Mature trees and breezes from Vineyard Sound keep temperatures cool all summer. The house is a short distance from the end of Indian Hill Road in West Tisbury, not far from the Cedar Tree Neck wildlife sanctuary. Travel down winding country roads to reach the North Tisbury shopping area (2 miles) and the white sands of Lambert’s Cove beach (3 miles), which is restricted to West Tisbury residents and their tenants. West Tisbury is a rural town of farms, art galleries and fields. The town hosts a farmers' market twice a week, and in late August is the home of a traditional agricultural fair.

Master bath and second floor bath are each semicircular, with stunning field and pond views, twin sinks in marble vanity, tile floor, glass shower and separate toilet enclosure. Second floor bath also has ocean view. Family bath includes marble vanity, tile floor and tub/shower. In guest cottage, the bathroom is also tiled. Outdoor shower off kitchen is inside a wooden enclosure for privacy, but offers wonderful views of the field and pond.

Off the living room on the second floor is a sleeping area with two twin beds, built in drawers and private modern bath with glass shower stall and twin sinks. The guest cottage includes a queen size sleigh bed. There is also a sleeping loft behind the living room fireplace.
