Inside this cottage you know you are truly in Maine. The scent of pine and ocean surf mixed with the

colors of the sea invites you to relax and unwind.. All furnishings surround you in comfort.

Freeport and Camden for shopping, Bath and Rockland for museums, Monhegan Island, antiquing, and auctions all within an hour away.

Additional Activities: This area has many unusual places to explore and enjoy. Guestbook comments from the owner

All the family enjoyed Pemaquid Point and the cottage. It was a very nice choice we made when we decided to come here! (Choice by Internet...you never know!).

A lot of fun all the week visiting the area, eating lobsters, playing in the sand, and visiting the Island. Beaux souvenirs pour toute la famille. We all hope to come back one day!

Thank you! The cottage is very nice. Chaleureux et comfortable.

A true serenity getaway!

  • 5 of 5
This was my fourth trip to 4 Stars. This is our favorite place to vacation. Everything in the cabin is so clean and well coordinated. We had lovely walks on the beach and the Pemaquid Trail, and relaxing games of Gin Rummy on the handmade birch kitchen table. The owner thought of everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable, even a nice selection of movies to watch.

Enjoy The Pemaquid Oyster Festival or the popular 'Olde Bristol Days' with music, vendors,a parade and fireworks. Take the Ferry (less than a mile away) to Monhegan Island, with just a short ride you are in one of the oldest artist's communities in the country.

Golf: Wawenock Golf Club

Their Mission:

'To provide opportunities for the entire community -- young and old, rich and poor -- to learn, play, and practice the game of golf on a high quality course at the most affordable price possible, consistent with our not-for-profit status.'

'Located on Route 129 in Walpole, Maine, just 5 miles South of Damariscotta, Wawenock Golf Club is a nine hole, links-style course, that opened for play in 1928. The fairways are generally open, with very few trees. The greens are moderately sized and average 5,000 square feet, and are relatively flat and moderate in speed. Water comes into play on two holes. There are alternate tees when playing an eighteen hole round and the course plays from 5,500 to 6,200-yards.'

'We offer many events and tournaments sign ups are limited so please check in and reserve your spot in our next event.

Wawenock Golf Club is truly one of Maine's hidden treasures. Stop by and enjoy a day of golf down on the coast.'
