Nestled on a hillside across from Seal Cove Pond and Acadia National Park, this cottage offers proximity to all the attractions of the Island and Park within a peaceful setting. Enjoy 40 private acres of fields, woodland ponds, and hiking trails. Wildlife is abundant; literally a birdwatcher's dream. Launch your canoe or kayak in Seal Cove Pond, a short drive from your cottage. Hike, bike, or drive in on the mountain road and stop for a swim along the way in beautiful Long pond. It's one mile to Seal Cove and Blue Hill Bay, a beautiful, and quiet, but public beach with a picnic area and ramp for boat launching- mooring provided. Drive 5 minutes and you will be in the fishing village of Bernard and Bass Harbor. Enjoy lunch or dinner at the dock restaurant and watch the fishermen come in with the day's catch. Southwest Harbor is a ten minute drive. This year round community has medical facilities, a drug store, 2 banks, hardwear and grocery stores and many fine restaurants.

We have just returned from a week visit in Seal Cove. We were fortunate to have stayed in Cottage #2 of the Pondside Farm Rental....it was absolutely gorgeous and I'm afraid the description on this website doesn't do it justice. The homeowners provide everything needed with the exception of food. Also included is high speed internet which is a must for us! The grounds are breathtaking and a hike on the path through the woods behind the house is a must. The home interior just boggles the mind with the workmanship in all the wood!
