Surrounded by the forests of Mt. Guardian at an altitude of almost 1500 feet, you are high enough to keep cool in the summer and experience a winter wonderland of snow in the winter. Hunter and Belleayre ski resorts are only 30-40 minutes away. To get there you turn off the main road in Woodstock and start the steep climb to the house. Off to the right stretches the Indian Head Wilderness, with its miles of challenging hiking trails winding through the Catskill High Peaks. Turn onto the private gravel road that climbs up Mt. Guardian and you soon arrive at the house, set in a beautiful grove of hemlocks, only four miles from the great shops and restaurants of Woodstock.

Additional information about rental rates

  • MINIMUM RENTAL is for any two nights at the weekend rate, or $650.
  • HOLIDAY RENTALS are a minimum of 3 nights at weekend rate, and holiday week rates are correspondingly higher.
    Lower WEEKLY RATE (one free week night) does not apply to Saturday-to-Saturday rentals.
  • The SECURITY DEPOSIT is $400 for weekend and weekly rentals and 30% for longer rentals and is required to reserve the house. The full amount of the rental fee is required two weeks prior to occupancy. CANCELLATIONS will have a full refund of the deposit if they are received at least 30 days prior to the start of the rental, less a $50 admin fee. Termination under 30 but over 14 days before the start of the rental will have half the security refunded. Termination within 14 days from the start of the rental will result in forfeiture of the entire security deposit.
