Enjoy sunset from the top of 50 foot dune with views 17 miles across Cape Cod Bay to Plymouth. The teak deck furniture is like being on a luxury ship. This exclusive private location on the furthest most point of Lieutenant's Island will help you escape from it all! There is over 2000 sq. ft. of living space. The 3 bedrooms feature queen beds all with water views, 2 with decks. Linens are included. The house features original artwork, central A/C and access to the water below for a taste of Wellfleet's famous oysters or just a quiet walk on the beach as the tide goes out. There is a private 6 person hot tub on one deck. The 2 TVs are powered by a satellite dish. There is a sandy Bay beach just 5 minutes walk from the house. The property is perfect for a sophisticated vacationer that doesn't want a cottage but a home. Sorry, no pets or young children. This property is best for children over the age of 8 due to the location of the home on top of a steep cliff.

Wellfleet represents the best of 'Old Cape Cod' Lt. Island is popular for being separated from the mainland at moon high tides. The causeway may be impassible for as much as 1-2 hours. Wildlife include endangered turtles, seals, hawks, foxes and horseshoe crabs. There are Bay beaches within walking distance. The ocean beaches of Wellfleet are some of the best on Cape Cod; many are for residents/ renters only, known for the high dunes, beautiful sand and pounding waves. The bike trail is near the island and goes for miles to Brewster. 61% of Wellfleet is in the National Seashore. The National Audubon is nearby with walking trails and guides to learn about the local environment. The food varies from the best clam shacks to elegant waterfront dining. Wellfleet is famous for its oysters and the' WHAT Theatre'. Elsewhere, Provincetown offers a colorful atmosphere with the shops and art studios, as well as festivals and restaurants. The Pilgrims sailed in front of the island in 1620.

The house has all amenities that you could possibly want. There are some games and kayaks, enough deck furniture for a crowd, in and out of the sun. Small children are not suggested because of the height of the house over the water.

Or enjoy the beauty of the lower Cape in the spring as the restaurants and galleries open their doors and the golf courses show off the new green grass. Or spend some time in September or October when the days are still warm and the nights are crisp. The shops have begun the sales and shopping is great. Or just spend an afternoon walking the beaches of the National Seashore.
