Go for a very special 'Amsterdam' feeling and stay in 'Little Bear on the Water''. This cozy and comfortable houseboat lies in the the center in one of the canals nearby the lively Waterloo Square Market area. The boat is tasteful decorated with a modern design. It consists of a living-room, a romantic bedroom with a big bed, a fully equipped kitchenette and a balcony. There is a simply designed bathroom and toilet. In the living-room is a couch which can be turned into a two person bed. The houseboat is fully equipped, complete with all sheets, towels etc. A staircase leads you from the street to the front door. It's close (walking distance) to public transport (tram, metro), the Waterloo Square (largest flea-market in Amsterdam), The Rembrandthouse, The Skinny Bridge, shops, restaurants, Artis (the zoo), Botanic Garden, the Amstel River and Carré, one of the most popular theaters in Amsterdam. Wonderful Place to Stay

My husband and I stayed for 2 weeks and had a wonderful time. We could walk most places. We went out each day for a walk to get lost and find our way back, this is our favorite thing.
Anno is wonderful, he makes sure you have everything you need. Very comfortable for 2 people and the view of city life is great.

Anno was great to deal with, the location couldn't have been better, and we really enjoyed our stay in Amsterdam.

Being more nature lovers than ones who take in all the tourist attractions the houseboat was perfect. A lot of time spent at the houseboat enjoying the canal boats, waterfowl and peaceful surroundings.

Don't expect the Ritz. But you're not paying the Ritz prices either....

GREAT PLACE TO STAY!!

My husband and I stayed on the houseboat for 4 nights. We hated to leave. It was so comfortable. This houseboat is perfect for 2 people. It has a small kitchen, living room, bathroom with a nice shower, TV, heaters, dining area and best of all great windows to watch the wildlife on the canel float by. We walked to public transportation, restaurants, grocery stores, and loved being outside of the tourist areas.

The owner, Anno, was a great communicator. There were no surprises. Everything was as it was presented. This houseboat stay was a place that my husband and I will remember for the rest of our lives as a wonderful special experience.

More fun then a hotel!

We loved the houseboat. Anno, the owner was very kind and helpful. There were a lot of guides and maps at the houseboat to help you plan your sightseeing. When we arrived there was a bouquet of fresh flowers on the dining table. The steps down to the boat might be a little hard to manage if you have a problem walking.

This was a wonderful place to stay.
Very clean with no problems.
The owner was extremely professional and astute, and made sure that we had everything that we needed.
We sincerely appreciated his kind Dutch hospitality.
The neighborhood was quiet, yet close to public transportation.
We truly enjoyed our stay here, and were sad to leave it.
