Looking for a getaway that’s worlds apart – yet very close to home! Come home to Maine. Discover the serenity of the world as it should be. The Cottage is close to a lodge on Puffer's Pond and is nestled quietly on 20 acres of lake front in the heart of Penobscot County, Maine. The Cottage is an unassuming little spot with all the amenities essential to good living. It’s design features three bedrooms, two baths and a loft. The property offers a panorama of lakefront vistas, quiet wetlands, dense woodlands and wildflower meadows. Trails on the property can offer you a leisurely walkabout or a vigorous jog, a peaceful moment beneath the shade trees or a nap in the hammock. Take the canoe or kayaks to explore, take the fishing skiff and your fly rod for an early morning adventure. Go for a sail or just enjoy a dip under the noonday sun, the lake is just steps away.

20 acres of lakefront located in the central highlands of Maine. Should you need more than peace and quiet we are centrally located in Maine allowing day trips to most features. Whale watching and coastal viewing, moose cruising to whitewater rafting, it's all close enough to enjoy!

Other Activities: On site canoe, kayaks & fishing.

Golf: Local golf is fun & inexpensive.

The famous Belgrade & Sugarloaf courses are within driving distances.

This place is what dreams are made of! Every home comfort was provided and the scenery is breathtaking. We stayed there for a week after 3 nights in New York and went moose cruising, whale watching and white water rafting. We cooked on the BBQ nearly every night and had a thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable time. The owners are really friendly too and didn't mind all the questions from my 17 year old son! Please go and stay - it's amazing.
