Restored and renovated, charming 1880 antique home in a quiet and convenient in-town location. This wonderful home is a short 5-minute walk to Wellfleet Center, the harbor and town beach, Uncle Tim’s Bridge, and Cape Cod’s best library. Only a short ride to Wellfleet’s best ponds and a 5-minute drive to the ocean. This home has been tastefully restored and thoughtfully furnished with comfortable beds and couches, relaxed antiques, and a renovated kitchen with granite counters and new appliances. The first floor has a living room, kitchen/dining area, a large master bedroom with a queen bed and full bath. The second floor has a queen bedroom, a twin bedroom and a reading room (suitable to use as a spot for a portable crib) and a full bath. There is a spectacular screened porch, a large deck and an outdoor shower. The backyard is home to a cute little shed ('The Shack') which is a great playhouse for kids or a quiet place to read. The property is available for rental all year.
My husband and I, step-son, daughter in law grandson all enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home! This is a place we will return to many times! Carol and Roger were there to greet us when we arrived, and graciously gave us a tour of everything and showed us all the amenities. After that we did not see them again, but were always able to reach them with a few questions. The place is very clean and has a very fresh appearance with nicely painted walls and comfortable furniture throughout the house.
The home and yard space are spacious, and we enjoyed our time outside, and on the deck, especially when grilling our meals. The porch is nestled in the trees and creates a sheltered way to be in the open air. The porch furniture is colorful and comfortable and there is seating for many. The kitchen is just right for preparing meals and is right next to the dining room table.
The location is perfect! One of our favorite places is the Wellfleet library, and we could walk there in 10 minutes. The small grocery store has a great selection and the local fish market offers the best fish. We really loved being in the quietness of our house, but also being to access the stores and art galleries within walking distance.
I will recommend this property to my friends and family!
What a wonderful home, beautifully decorated and furnished, lovely gardens, and the PERFECT location to town, harbor and beaches! We enjoyed riding our bikes or walking to dinner and town, picking up fresh seafood and produce at Hatche's Fish Market and dining down at Mac's Seafood, the Pearl and the Bookstore! We loved the screened in porch, where we hung out most of the time, reading, talking, or dining. It's in a very quiet location with only the sounds of birds singing and chirping, I didn't want to leave! We would love to return next summer!

What sets this house fromt the rest is that it really does have it all. Great location- quiet, peaceful street, yet close enough to walk to town or to the pier or beach. The house itself is well appointed and very comfortable. The furnishings and the art in the house are definately well above what you usually see in a beach house. Kitchen is updated with everthing you need, beds are very comfortable, rooms are big with ample space for everything. We went with another family and it was perfect and accomodated everyone. Our favorite part of the house was the screened in porch- wonderfully decorated and just lovely to sit in and enjoy the outdoors, especially in the evening. When we were not on the porch we were enjoying the terrific deck or watching the kids do art projects in the adorable playhouse. Owner Carol was a wonderful host, it's obvious how much she loves the house and it shows. See you next year and can't wait!
I rented this house based on it's location for the first week in July. I was traveling with my husband and two children (ages 4 and 5). We enjoy staying in town so we can walk to restaurants and ice cream shops. This location ended up being ideal. The house is almost a half mile from 'Kid Beach', a playground, and ice cream. My kids were able to walk the distance with no complaining and they really enjoyed the evening activities. The house is located on a quiet and peaceful street.
The house was immaculate when we arrived. The layout is nice and the decor is very tasteful and comfortable. The screened in porch is large and comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped. The owners are very kind and accommodating - all questions were answered accurately and I had a sense they genuinely wanted us to have a great time. We are considering renting again for next year's vacation.
Wellfleet is one of the most charming and interesting towns on Cape Cod.The town is filled with charming art galleries, unique shops, wonderful restaurants (featuring world famous Wellfleet oysters), the best library on Cape Cod, several cinemas (including one of the few remaining drive-in theatres in NE), and a high quality theater. Natural beauty is everywhere. All of the Wellfleet ocean beaches are within the National Seashore boundaries, there are many clear kettle ponds for swimming, a wonderful Audobon Center and trails, ample opportunity for biking, sailing, fishing. Our property is a 5 minute walk to downtown Wellfleet, the harbor,Mayo Beach, public tennis courts, a children's playground and sports fields. The Cape Cod Baseball league has frequent games in Orleans, a 20 minute drive. Our house is in the perfect location to enjoy all Wellfleet has to offer without getting into your car.
