Or Stay In!:
We love the outdoors, but some days are best spent inside with a cup of tea and a book or a loved one. Since building our house in 1994, we've done our best to make it a home. Guests enjoy modern conveniences, from high-speed wireless Internet to cable TV. But we haven't forgotten about old-fashioned pleasures like cooking a delicious meal or losing yourself in a great book. Amenities include... 3 queen-size, pillow top beds and 2 deluxe, queen-size futons • Kitchen, bath, and bedding supplies • Washer and dryer, dishwasher, microwave, gas grill • Regional guides and maps • More than 200 hand picked books including regional guides, cookbooks, reference, fiction, history, sports, and a wide assortment for kids • Road and trail maps • Poker chips, puzzles, and board games for all ages.
Please note: we are not TV people and we do not have children. So, we do not have a DVD/VHS library at all, nor do we have toys for kids. Please bring movies and toys with you.
Fort Collins:
Just fifteen minutes to the east, Colorado's third-largest city boasts more than 600 acres of parks, 5,000 acres of natural areas, 20 miles of off-street hike and bike trails, three golf courses, a racquet center, three swimming pools, an ice rink, and a community center. The city is home to Colorado State University, whose Professional Veterinary Medicine program was ranked second in the nation by U.S. News and World Report.
In April 2005, Men's Journal magazine called Fort Collins the fourth best place to live in America. MSN. com ranked the city among the country's top five retirement destinations.
Ski:
We are NOT near skiing. We are at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. The nearest downhill skiing is about 45 minutes away (and it's not very good). Great Colorado skiing is about 1.5-2 hours away. I've done many a day trip, but please note that this is not near skiing.
Other Activities:
rock climbing, ballooning, kayaking
