Imagine your own private beach house on the shores of beautiful Mahone Bay. Located four kilometres from town, this open-concept summer home offers breathtaking views towards the famous churches in one direction, and the many islands of Mahone Bay in the other. The beach house sits on more than an acre of secluded ocean front. The nature of the bay limits heavy winds and encourages temperatures in the mid twenties (Celsius) during the summer months. Within a 5 minute drive of the town of Mahone Bay and 15 minutes from Lunenburg, you're never far from amenities and historic site-seeing. Mahone Bay is a short 45 minute drive to the city of Halifax and 15 minutes more to the Halifax International Airport. The open-concept main floor has sliding doors on to one of several decks, a dining area peering out on Mahone Bay towards the Atlantic, a kitchen with a dishwasher, a newly renovated bathroom with jacuzzi tub, and a living area with comfortable seating and satellite TV.

The beach house sits on Hyson Point Road in Oakland, 5 minutes outside the town of Mahone Bay. It's a short, 45 minute drive to Nova Scotia's capital city, Halifax, and an additional 15 minutes to the Halifax International Airport. Historic Lunenburg is only 15 minutes away and there are many beaches within a 30 minute drive.

Great relaxed 'cottage'. Close to town, peaceful location with direct water access. Not fancy at all, but with all the amenities you need for a quiet family vacation. Truly a 'beach house'. What does it say that we've been back several years! A real bonus we can bring our water-dog who had a ball as well.
Recommended for:  Adventure Seekers, Pet-friendly, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
