Photos and Description of the Alburg vacation cottage rental
Sleeps 4- 1 BR w/ double bed, futon/double, 1 BA with shower.

Small efficient camp directly on the shores of Lake Champlain. Large deck and yard. Located between Burlington, VT and Montreal, Que. Many activities on the lake and surrounding areas. Great shopping and sightseeing. Boating, swimming, golf, fine dining, lake tours, guided fishing trips, biking, hiking and walking are just a few. Please call the numbers listed or email for more information about an activity that interests you.

Lots to do, something for everyone: The Lake Champlain area provides the perfect vacation spot whether you want to sit on the deck, read, fish, swim, hike, walk, bike or prefer to take day trips to the many local attractions. We are located centrally between Burlington and Montreal both of which have lots of shopping, restaurants, and activities. A tour of Old Montreal is a wonderful treat. Burlington's Leahy Center on the waterfront is a wonderful look at our lake and it's creatures. The Shelburne Museum has something for everyone. There are movie theaters for a rainy day too! The area has many restaurants ranging from the upscale to family dining on a budget.. We all have our favorites so just ask !!! You'll find lots of pamphlets and flyers at the camp. Montreal is an hour drive. You will need your passport. Burlington is about 45 minutes thru the Islands .St Albans,Vt is just a short drive. It offers many of the amenities of a larger city but has a real small city charm!

Prefer a slower pace ?: The fishing is great with many bait shops, launch areas and rentals available. Bring your own boat or rent what you need when you arrive. Licenses are available at many locations. The closest is directly across the lake at the Harborside store. Just to the south of the camp is a bay which offers wonderful bass fishing. Or just drop a line off the dock and see what happens! Rent a canoe or kayak and spend a day paddling around the lake. The rural area lends itself to long walks and bike rides. The cottage is directly on the lake with a shared dock. The swimming is great. We are located on a rural road and offer ample free parking for your vehicle and boat(s).

We have expanded our rental season to include an earlier May opening and October closing. Many campers enjoy early spring and fall fishing. The foliage will put on it's spectacular display from mid-September through the beginning of November. Camping in the fall is wonderful. Everything is slower paced and quiet. Not much can compare to the reflection of the brightly colored leaves on a calm lake. Take a drive or just a walk down the road to see more foliage. Use the camp as a starting point for other foliage tours or just stay and enjoy the lake in fall. Just a bit down the road you can book a plane ride and fly over the lake for more spectacular views!

Notes: The camp is small, cozy and comfortable with a large front yard and deck overlooking the lake. We are located on the eastern shore with beautiful sunrises and morning sun on the deck and beach. Because of it's size the camp is best suited for singles, couples and small families. The price of $465.00/ week makes a vacation in the Islands very affordable . It has an open floor plan with a sleeping loft above the bedroom. The living room has a futon which easily converts to a comfortable double bed. . The camp offers a full kitchen. The bathroom includes an indoor shower. Linens, bath towels, toilet paper and basic soaps are provided. We stock two gallons of water. Well controlled pets are welcome. Our camp is just steps from the lake. The beach and dock are shared. Used as a home base for the many activities the area offers or as a place to spend an entire vacation you won't be disappointed.

This little cabin is truly right by the lake. The bedrm is comfortable, the cabin is clean, the kitchen area is small but usable. We used the bedroom and the futon sofa to sleep on. The upstairs sleeping loft is fine for a young child but too close to the ceiling for anyone bigger to move around. The owner is a sweetheart and the price was very nice. Don't make the mistake we did of arriving in Alburg in the dark; we spent an hour and a half trying to find this place.

A wonderful, restful place to stay

We had a wonderfully relaxing time during our stay at Middle Camp. As runners, we were able to have a fun experience running to the Canadian Border one day. Hero's Welcome and the local Irving station were handy places for us to get anything we needed during our stay. The camp itself reminded me of my grandparent's camp where I spent my childhood. Simply furnished, the camp was very neat and clean and provided ample comfort with chairs out on the porch overlooking the lake, a futon to get cozy in and watch a DVD or read during a rainy day, a comfortable room to spend the night, and a kitchen sufficient to cook our meals. Our favorite amenity was the outside fire pit with chairs beside it, where we spent a wonderful evening relaxing and talking into the night (we found wood for sale about 4 miles up route 2 - Patty knows the place). Patty, our host, was very gracious and made booking our stay, checking in, and payment very convenient. We were so relaxed and felt so at home here we wished we could have stayed longer!
