Cabin, 3 Bedrooms + Loft, 2.5 Baths, (Sleeps 12)

This cabin is located on a prime walleye fishing lake in northern Minnesota just two hours from the Twin Cities. We use this cabin for our personal use, but will rent for some weeks of the summer and fall. The cabin is well-kept and nicely decorated with awesome views of the lake. The elevation is low so the lakeshore is very close... so close that you can view all lake activity from within the cabin. There is a large deck for dining and relaxing.

On the main floor is a large great room with a Franklin fireplace. The dining area is next to the kitchen. All is very open to each other and has fantastic views of the lake. One bedroom is on the main level. The bath is separate and includes a shower. Upstairs there is a separate bedroom facing the lake and two loft areas. One loft area is semi-private bedroom and the other is open. There is a half bath upstairs, also. The downstairs walkout has a bedroom, great room with views of the lake, and a bath with shower. This is not just a 'rental' property. It is a cozy, clean and very enjoyable place to hang out.

Enjoy fishing, relaxing and swimming with your family on a clean, sandy bottom lake. Two boat lifts are available for your use. The swimming area goes out very gradually which is great for young children.

About The Owner

We have owned and enjoyed this cabin for over 24 years. Our family used this place almost every weekend of the summer. It was a place where we did things together and spent time working, playing, fishing and playing games. The kids enjoyed the beach with many hours of skiing, dock tag and other water games. Then they got married and moved with their jobs out of state. While we still enjoy the cabin ourselves,two years ago we decided to offer this opportunity to other families. It is our hope that friends and families are brought closer together while enjoying God's creation in this beautiful setting.

The Owner purchased this cabin in 1984
Why The Owner chose Wealthwood

Farm Island Lake is a prime walleye fishing lake with sandy bottom and clear water. Being close to the Twin Cities, the commute is minimal yet you are in the Northwoods! Lots are 100' plus so cabins are not on top of one another giving the feeling of privacy. It is never too busy with boats so fishing and water sports are always possibities.

The lake is over 2000 acres and has three islands. We think it is the best spot in Minnesota!

What makes this cabin unique

A large deck on the cabin allows enjoyment of the lake from 50 ft. back. You don't have to be on the dock to see all the activity. Great for grandparents to relax on and yet see the fun! Also, there is a nice fire-pit for evening chats with s'mores.(you bring the fixings and wood)

The mile-long private road into the cabin is great for morning and evening walks.

We stayed at this cabin this time last year and this year we tried something else...needless to say we will be back. For the price, the location, and the lake - nothing beats this cabin!!! We have great memories and hope to be back in the future for more. If we could find any complaint it would be that the couch in the living room has seen its better days but we weren't there to sit inside so it wasn't that big of a deal :) Decorated in the true 'up north' fashion and quite 'homey' feeling. Even though the cabin wasn't ours we felt like it was, it was that comfortable. Thanks for letting us share your little piece of heaven...we will be back :)

Our family truly enjoyed the stay at the cabin. The cabin is very spacious with lots of sleeping spaces. Our grandkids enjoyed fishing and swimming off the dock as well as the parents. Cabin is decorated very nicely with a real "up north " feel. Large wrap around deck with picnic table worked very well for meals or just a nice morning coffee. The cabin was as described and more. Would not hesitate to rent again .

Our family had a great vacation despite the wet weather. This was our first time renting by owner and the family would love to do it again.This property had plenty of room, everything you needed for the kitchen, games for the kids, and a large area for the kids to run. In my opinion, you will not find a more beautiful, relaxing place to enjoy a vacation. From the tree lined entrance to the fabulous, clean, and well maintained cabin , the owners are
very gracious and helpful with any questions you may have. The photos show very accurately how the cabin and lake are, But you
must go there and experience seeing the ducks and their antics, the bald eagles flying above you, a doe
and its baby along the road, peace and quiet of the woods surrounding the property, and the pretty sunrises over the lake. My family guy fishermen were more than satisfied with the fish that were caught of which made a very delicious meal. Anyone looking for a special vacation spot, this is the place.

lWe enjoyed our week with children and grandchildren here. The cabin easily accommodated the 10 of us. We enjoyed fishing, wading in the water, sunbathing, grilling, campfires, and relaxing by the lake.
The sunrises were beautiful. The kitchen was well stocked and served us well. A great week!
