'Oak Mountain Haven' is nestled in the Great Smoky Mountains of western North Carolina. This beautiful two bedroom, loft, two bath log home offers a spectacular view year round. Features include a large deck that's partially covered, a spacious great room with large windows to enjoy the view from inside and a beautiful stand-alone stone fireplace. The deck has rocking chairs for relaxing and a table and chairs for enjoying meals, snacks and your favorite beverage. The master bedroom has a great view from French doors that access the deck. The area is quiet and serene yet is only about a half hour from Asheville.

While rural and secluded, the cabin is convenient to Lake Junaluska, Waynesville, the Cherokee Indian Reservation & Casino, Great Smoky Mountain National Park, the Great Smoky Mountain Scenic Railway, Asheville and the Biltmore Estate. Pisgah and Nantahala National Parks are also nearby. Dollywood, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg are just over a scenic hour's drive. Waynesville has a very quaint and appealing downtown shopping area with arts & crafts. Maggie Valley offers a ski area, night clubs, restaurants and activities for children. Locally, you can enjoy golf, horseback riding, hiking, fishing, canoeing, white-water rafting and waterfalls. There is easy access to I-40.

Since the cabin is located on a mountain, a 4-wheel drive vehicle is recommended in the Winter months (Dec. - Feb.).

First-Class Mountain Cabin

My wife & I have stayed in more than a dozen rental cabins in the past few years, from Blowing Rock to Murphy.
We come to the mountains to hike, and use the cabins as more of a 'base' for this activity. We do not go into town much.
Your cabin was an exception. It was much more than a base of operations, it became a retreat. We were as comfortable there as we were on the mountain trails.
It was clean, well-stocked, friendly to use, and well situated in its environment. We actually spent an entire day there just loafing around--a rarity for us. Honestly, you provide a first-class mountain cabin (as we know from our experiences in other rentals).

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your cabin. What a lovely home and
decorated so tastefully. The leaves were at their "peak" colors and we
enjoyed gazing at the mountains while sipping coffee on the deck. We've
rented about five cabins throughout NCarolina over the past ten years and
we agreed that yours is the best.

Our time at Annual Conference this year was greatly blessed by the morning sights that greeted us each day from the deck of your cabin. We enjoyed the peace and tranquility of your cabin and just kicked back and relaxed when we got back from our daily activities at our annual conference.
Dianna and I have discussed our options for next year's conference and would like to book that time slot on the calendar when it is made available to us.
Thank you again for openning up your Oak Mountain Haven for us, it truly was what its name implies.

The cabin is wonderful, and we hope to visit it again in the future. It is exactly what we needed.
We went in to Waynesville on Sat. a.m., and found that when we returned, we could only drive half way up your mountain. We simply parked the car and walked up. The rest of the day and evening were spent in front of a wonderful fire, reading. Something, that with three young children, I never get to do. And, living in Charleston, seeing the snow was such a treat. The cabin is immaculate and so well appointed. Thank you for sharing it with us.
