Description of the Gayhead - Aquinnah vacation house rental
This new contemporary farm house sits on 5 acres. Mature oaks provide privacy on three sides, views of Vineyard Sound grace the fourth. It is a short walk to Menemsha Pond, a shallow and warm swimming area for small children, and to Lobsterville Beach, an uncrowded expanse of sea shore for swimming and a renowned spot for bass and bluefish. 2 miles from Gay Head Cliffs and ocean beaches. A one mile ride takes you to the bike ferry to the picturesque fishing village of Menemsha, its shops, restaurants and grocery store.

Excursions are available to nearby Cuttyhunk Island and Nantucket. There are numerous hiking trails nearby. The island offers horseback riding and golf, the shops and restaurants of Oak Bluffs and the old whaling port of Edgartown. Gay Head/Aquinnah, where the house is located, is home to Wampanoag Tribe and its craftsmen and cultural center.
