Franklin Vacation Rental cottage

Scenic, relaxing and rejuvenating.: That's what makes an ideal vacation! Here's what we offer at our Lakeside Cottage~It's 3 1/2 acres of privacy and seclusion. The cottage is 3200 square feet. We are located about 20 minutes from the city of Ellsworth with shopping and activities. 45 minutes from Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Franklin is the closest little community with a convenience store and a great little breakfast cafe! At the cottage we are located on Donnell Pond, 1100 +acres of pristine, private waterfront. We have a dock area that offers swimming, boating, fishing and just relaxing. There are two kayaks, two canoes and a rowboat to play in. Just across from our cottage is 'Bear Point' which is a great swimming beach you can paddle over to. At the end of the lake are wonderful sandy beaches which we offer a motor boat rental for you to explore those areas with. It is about a three mile paddle and not safe for you to get to in a canoe or kayak. Ask about the rental if you are interested!

What amenities does the cottage have?: Fully equipped kitchen~microwave, coffeemaker, toaster, stove with oven, full size refrigerator. Lots of dishes for all those family and friends that gather! The cottage is nicely furnished with all the comforts of home. There are plenty of linens for the kitchen and bathrooms, even swim towels! There is a laundry room off the kitchen equipped with detergent to do any laundry needs you might have. We do not provide maid service during the week, it's just like being home!! Again, the space is wonderful for being together and getting reacquainted. The family room has games, a pool table, wet bar and TV/VCR.
