Our newly renovated beachfront condo is centrally located to the beach right downstairs, to the ferry pier to Cozumel next door, to exquisite shopping on 5th Avenue one block away, to fine local dining, scuba diving, wet biking and para sailing, championship golf, Mayan ruins tours and family entertainment at Xcaret. Walmart is within walking distance for groceries, drinks and beach toys. The condo has wireless internet access, unlimited free calls to USA/Canada, satellite tv w/HBO/MAX & DVD player, sleeper-futon & sofa in the living area. A kitchenette with mini refrigerator, microwave, dual burner electric cook top, coffee maker, plates, glasses and flatware. King size bed in the bedroom. The all marble,walk-in shower in the bathroom is separate from the vanity and sink. Access to common washer/dryer. Bottled water, towels and twice weekly cleaning service are included. Mexico's most famous margaritas are served right downstairs and our new 30' terrace with postcard views awaits

The condo is located in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico, located approximately 30 miles from Cancun, Mexico and approximately 30 minutes by ferry from Cozumel. This coastal city sits on the Caribbean with beach access literally everywhere. Local cuisine and American fast food is abundant. American shopping (Walmart & Sams) and local shops provide any item you may need. Mayan ruins tours are available. Local taxi and bus transportation are within walking distance. Many children's activities, such as swimming with dolphins and Xcaret theme park are within 25 minutes.

Local bus service from Cancun airport: You can skip the rental car or taxi and take the local bus service called Ado from the airport to Playa Del Carmen for less than $10 a person. Catch the bus outside the airport and travel to Playa Del Carmen bus terminal. The Plaza Marina Playacar, where the condo is located, is a few hundred yards from the bus terminal. Locals will shuttle your luggage to the condo for about $5. We have done this before, and it saves lots of money on cab fare since it takes 40 minutes or so to get from airport to condo.

Golf at Playacar Golf Club: The 18 hole championship golf course at Playacar Golf Club is 5 minutes away by cab. The course is carved through the native jungle and will test the best players. For $180 US, in addition to the golf, you receive all the food and drink you want. Eat breakfast, play golf, enjoy a beer or two, eat lunch and brag about that drive you busted down the middle.

If you want to be waited on morning, noon and night, this is not meant for you. If you want a vacation that is on your own terms....this is the answer.

My best friend and I went on a girl's vacation to Mexico. Both of us had vacationed in all-inclusive resorts, but decided to rent a condo for this holiday. After the stay at this condo, we agreed that we will never pay for all-inclusive again!

We spent most of our time on the huge balcony overlooking the beach. 5th Avenue was not even a half city block away. Everything is so convenient.
Restaurants ranging from great food to fast food, bars, live music, internet bars, shopping...less that a block away.

The beach is very secluded and the water is so clear. Perfect! Only steps from the condo.

Now, on to the balcony....
This is where we spent most of our time. The breeze was great, the sun was great, the music was great.
The ferry comes and goes and it's great people-watching, if you're so inclined, but don't get the wrong idea....you never feel exposed. The patio is actually very private.

We were warned that we were above a bar, but that only added to our atmosphere, as we loved the music during the day and evening before going out to dinner or for the evening.

We felt very well taken care of, as the house keeping staff checked in more that twice. (they recycle, as well!)
I have recommended it to friends, family and co-workers and plan to visit again soon.
