Excursions: Lac St Cassien for all water sports (20 minutes). The spectacular Gorges du Verdun - Europe's Grand Canyon (30 minutes). The famous beaches and resorts of the Cote d'Azur, lavender fields and pretty hilltop villages such as Eze, Tour Tour, and Chateaudouble. Further afield, the magnificent Roman ruins of Avignon, Orange and the Pont du Gard aqueduct.
Sandy beaches at Frejus and St Maxime 40 minutes drive. There are many other sandy bays and coves within 1 hour and the beautiful 7 km long Pampelonne beach at St Tropez is about a 1 hour drive
Discover many pretty medieval perched villages such as Tour Tour and Chateaudouble in the hills nearby or Eze high above Nice.
Many of the famous resorts of the Cote d'Azur such as Cannes, Nice, Monaco and Monte Carlo are all easily accessible from the villa. Our favourite is St Tropez, this is an absolute 'must' visit, a beautiful old town with chic designer shops, magnificent yachts in the harbour and a great beach.
There are several golf courses within 1 hour which as you would expect of the South of France are truly spectacular.
Two hours away are the magnificent roman ruins at Avignon, Orange, Nimes and the stunning Pont du Gard aqueduct.
Skiing - there is a small skiing resort 45 minutes from Villa Charmante open in mid winter or the main resorts of the Alps are a 2 hour drive.
The Cote d'Azur and South of France have long had a special appeal. Combine the Mediterranean climate, wonderful light, Provencal cooking, superb wine and the rich warm scenes that inspired Van Gogh and Cezanne and you have all the makings for a fantastic holiday!
