MAGNIFICENT PROVENÇALE VILLA WITH PRIVATE POOL AND GLORIOUS VIEWS

Claviers Villa Rental Photos and Description

2-3 bedrooms,1 with king-size bed, 2 bathrooms, sleeps a maximum of 7

Villa Charmante has an idyllic setting nestled among olive groves above Claviers. With spacious, comfortable accommodation, your own pool, beautiful views & a private, secluded location it is a lovely relaxing hideaway.

Striking entrance leads down an elegant staircase to the large character lounge. Spacious dining room with patio doors & views of Claviers, with hills beyond. Fully equipped kitchen & utility room. Master king-size bedroom with en suite bathroom & French doors leading to terrace overlooking the pool. Second bedroom with 3 single beds. Shower room with WC. Separate cloakroom with WC. Second lounge (or curtained off third bedroom).

Pool open 3 April to 30 October 2012. Terraces with sunny & naturally shaded areas, parasols, sun loungers, plenty of garden furniture & barbecue. Villa Charmante is owned by Greg Poole of Select Cottages, who has 21 years experience in letting high quality accommodation. Please see our website www.selectcottages.com for more information.

Excursions: Lac St Cassien for all water sports (20 minutes). The spectacular Gorges du Verdun - Europe's Grand Canyon (30 minutes). The famous beaches and resorts of the Cote d'Azur, lavender fields and pretty hilltop villages such as Eze, Tour Tour, and Chateaudouble. Further afield, the magnificent Roman ruins of Avignon, Orange and the Pont du Gard aqueduct.

Sandy beaches at Frejus and St Maxime 40 minutes drive. There are many other sandy bays and coves within 1 hour and the beautiful 7 km long Pampelonne beach at St Tropez is about a 1 hour drive

Discover many pretty medieval perched villages such as Tour Tour and Chateaudouble in the hills nearby or Eze high above Nice.

Many of the famous resorts of the Cote d'Azur such as Cannes, Nice, Monaco and Monte Carlo are all easily accessible from the villa. Our favourite is St Tropez, this is an absolute 'must' visit, a beautiful old town with chic designer shops, magnificent yachts in the harbour and a great beach.

There are several golf courses within 1 hour which as you would expect of the South of France are truly spectacular.

Two hours away are the magnificent roman ruins at Avignon, Orange, Nimes and the stunning Pont du Gard aqueduct.

Skiing - there is a small skiing resort 45 minutes from Villa Charmante open in mid winter or the main resorts of the Alps are a 2 hour drive.

The Cote d'Azur and South of France have long had a special appeal. Combine the Mediterranean climate, wonderful light, Provencal cooking, superb wine and the rich warm scenes that inspired Van Gogh and Cezanne and you have all the makings for a fantastic holiday!

£350 off remaining dates available in May and early June. Just proceed with your booking and the discount will be automatically applied.

Select Cottages is a small family run business started by myself, Greg, in the late 1980’s, when I bought and converted firstly the cottages in France, followed by those in the Lake District. Here we are in 2013 celebrating our 25th year, which I find hard to believe!

A bit about myself: I was born in New Zealand and am a passionate supporter of the All Blacks. I lived in England for many years from secondary school age, and since leaving university have lived in Surrey, Cumbria (at Bridge End Farm for 8 years) and Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. I am married to Zarina and we held our wedding in glorious sunshine at La Garenne in Brittany. I am delighted that my daughter Natasha is now helping me with the business, especially with the IT side of things!

Although no longer living at Bridge End Farm, I visit on a regular basis to ensure that everything is running smoothly and that we are doing everything possible to maintain our high standards and make your holiday most enjoyable. Indeed you may bump into us on holiday ourselves since we always take our holidays both in the Lake District and France, spending our time either out on the fells, strolling along beside the River Blavet or perusing the French marchés!

If you are looking for a special place for your holiday, then we look forward to helping you with your holiday plans.
