As we did, especially coming from as far as Tokyo, Japan, you've probably looked at a lot of potential places to rent and you are hoping you pick the right place. Sometimes where you stay can make or break the relaxing vacation you had planned; you keep your fingers crossed and hope for the best. The Heuser's Balboa Island beach house really made this vacation what we had hoped it would be.The house is big, beautiful and very very clean; it surpassed all expectations on every level! With the exception of the food we picked up at a local nearby supermarket, the house lacks nothing. Whether it was the granite counter-top stool seating for our two children to make eating and clean-up simple; the fantastic high-end barbecue; the jacuzzi tub in the master bathroom; or the beach toys provided by the Heusers, it all came together to make an easy vacation. Balboa Island has a circular path that we walked at least twice a day. The kids collected seashells and other treasuries, while we relaxed on the seawall and watched the ever-changing mixer of boats go about their business. We saw some awesome sunsets in the evening and met some really nice islanders on our walks. The house is located a few minutes walk from the ferry that crosses the channel to the coastal beaches, Balboa pier and the Fun Zone. You can also pick up the morning paper and snacks here at the minimart. I could go on about both the house and the Island, but rest assured when we return we will be renting the Heuser's beach house again, without hesitation!!
Enjoy,
The Browns from Tokyo, Japan
