Corea Vacation Rental farmhouse

We arrived at the farmhouse in the late afternoon, in time to unpack and enjoy the setting sun from the porch looking over the harbor. The house was impecably clean and very homey. Better than that perhaps, was knowing that the house had been there for over 150 years and was still providing wonderful comfort! Interesting reading materials, board games, and a notebook with a history of the house, local attractions and possibilities. We headed out a few days, but found we loved being at the house so much that we would head back by late afternoon. The modern kitchen was the best stocked I've ever had in a rental and clean, clean, clean! It was a great place to walk with incredible views. We enjoyed walking to the beach to hunt for treasures. I can't remember when we had seen so many stars in the night sky. We did head over to Mt. Desert Island for a day and went Kayaking out of Southwest Harbor. Fantastic adventure and it was good to be on the water. One of us even took a quick dip when we stopped on an island for a rest and snack. Next time we would kayak more locally.....why not? Plenty of beautiful shoreline nearby! Our favorite drive was the Acadia loop road. It was a short distance away with beauty at every turn. The paking area at the half way point was a great place to get out and walk around the trails that led from there. It also provided one of the best views of Cadillac Mountain. Our bed was extremely comfortable with a view of the harbor from the windows! This was one of the most relaxing vacations we've been on. The home was thoughtfully detailed and equiped with everything we needed. There is plenty to do in the area, but you might fall under the farmhouse spell like we did and want to spend most of your time there!
