Our comfortable waterfront cottage has a gorgeous southwest view of Muscongus Bay. Your 180 degree view of the Bay and its islands, lobster boats and buoys, kayaks, and spectacular sunsets will soothe and delight. The unspoiled view is equally delightful from the the master bedroom, living room, kitchen, den, screened porch, or dock. Our newly renovated kitchen, first floor bathroom, and den were designed for maximum comfort and view . A large dock and float has deep water and is perfect for your boat or kayak. Friendship is famous for some of the best kayaking (and lobsters) in Maine! Don't have a kayak? Rentals and lessons are just up the road. Rockland, home of the Farnsworth and Andrew Wyeth Museum, and the Maine Lobster Festival, is a scenic 30 minute drive. Lots of antique stores, art galleries, and some nice restaurants. Camden and its often-photographed harbor is just a bit further up the road from Rockland.

Absolutely Wonderful!!

Pictures just cannot do this place justice--it is sooo beautiful! We just returned from a week in this home and touring around this part of the Maine coast from Boothbay Harbor to Camden. The house, grounds, and dock are all so lovely. We started each day having our coffee on either the dock or the screened-in porch watching the lobster boats pull their traps in the bay right in front of us. It was so peaceful and colorful as to be almost surreal--if you tried to paint a picture with the colors in the sunsets across that bay, no one would believe it! The house is extremely well outfitted, the beds are comfortable, and the price is perfectly reasonable. I loved beautiful Friendship Harbor even more than some of the larger ones! You can buy fresh lobster right off the boats there, and the kitchen at the cottage comes complete with lobster pot! Everyone we met in the area was friendly, and the owner has been most helpful and easy to work with. I would definitely do this again, and hope to have that opportunity some day! If you want to stay right in the middle of the action, this place may not be for you--but if you want a peaceful, restful, clean and beautiful place with all the dining, shopping, and sightseeing you could wish for within short and beautiful drives in either direction, then this place is for you!! I loved it!!

We have rented this property 3 yrs. running, and have reservations for '10. Truly a lovely, airy, and immaculate cottage- incomparably sited on Muscongus Bay. The former lobster pound at rear of cottage, has tides, and hosts heron and sea birds. Water sunsets can be viewed from nearly entire first fl. and much of 2nd fl., also from the screened room, and the large dock. The first floor is very spacious and comfortable, with both fireplace, and woodburning stove in 'open' lvn/dn room. The kitchen is gorgeous, and very well equipped. The den is a great additional informal space. There are multiple sliding doors, bringing outdoors in. We are so anticipating returning to this home away.

A little piece of Heaven

We found this wonderful cottage going on 4 years ago and have been renting ever since. The location is breathtaking and the cottage absolutely lovely. The furnishings throughout the cottage are charming and the decor is beautiful. Most rooms have water views where you can watch the tides and sailboats along with the loons, osprey and sea gulls. At night you are lulled to sleep by the sound of the waves. And in the morning your greeted with the soft sounds of working lobster boats .The cottages floor plan, is open and inviting for both you and your guests. And the sleeping arrangments are varied and very comfortable. We enjoy kayaking from the private dock into the Muscongus Bay, which is known to be one of the best spots in Maine.Or you can use the deep water dock for your boat. You can also swim right from the dock or take a short walk down the road to two nice swimming ponds. We also love to visit Damariscotta or Rockland which is a short drive for an evening out. This property is all we ever wanted in a vacation cottage. The property is immaculate and the owners of the cottage do everything possible to make your stay very pleasant . We always look forward to our peaceful and memorable stay. I'm sure you will love it as much as we do.
