Playa del Carmen Vacation Rental condo

The condo is pleasantly decorated. The two bedrooms are nice and one has an ensuite bathroom. The kitchen and livingroom are also nice and of course there is a view of the ocean! The negatives are the second bathroom - the shower is not very functional given that it has a large washer and dryer right in front of it. There is also a really bad smell coming from somewhere in this bathroom - we had to keep the door shut all the time. While the view is nice, we never really used the roof toof terrace because of the construction going on at the next block (it looked like it may be coming to an end soon though). Also, we found the stair up to the terrace a bit precarious. The common pool is ok but not very inviting and we didn't use it. There is not anywhere to sit around it and no chairs (it is more a pool for the poepl staying on the condos on the ground floor really). We are quite easy going so none of these things really bothered us after the first day of adjusting to them. We found the management company (Bric) which rents out the condo did not follow through on some paper work properly and we had to wait over an hour at Cancun airport to be picked up by their driver (on the way back they were very efficient then). They are friendly enough though and try to help. We did love the location of the condo next to the beach and at the more laid back end of 5th Avenue. Try the little Mezcal bar around the corner on 5th. We loved that!
