This home is secluded and quiet, and the property is wooded. This house is only 2 blocks from downtown Pentwater. Beautiful Pentwater is located at the mouth of the Pentwater River and Pentwater Lake, along the channel at Lake Michigan in northwestern Oceana County. This town is truly one of the gems of the Great Lakes, situated along a clean, white sandy shoreline, with resorts, stores, shops, and restaurants. People come from all over the country to vacation in Pentwater. Walk to pristine lake Michigan Beach! Located in a quiet New England type of town, this vacation home has all the comforts of home. Includes large, covered porch, a full-size, fully equipped kitchen. Watch the wildlife in the 1 acre of woods with running creek from this home. Take a walk to the beach to find crystal clear water and sand so clean and fine it 'squeaks' when you walk. Don't forget the sunsets. Everything you need is in close proximity to this house. No need to drive at all during your vacation week.

This clean and updated 3 bedroom, two bath cottage with open floor plan, will sleep 10 people comfortably. It is located 2 blocks from the town which includes a marina ideal for children's fishing and boat charters serious salmon fishing, restaurants, shops, miniature golf, etc. The home is clean with new furnishings throughout. The cottage features a fully stocked kitchen, laundry room (including iron and board), shower in the master bath and garden tub, ceiling fans in master bedroom, kitchen, and living room, portable fans available for other bedrooms, deck at front entrance of home, plenty of parking, TV, VCR(2), DVD player, video games, and phone for local calls. The fully-equipped kitchen has a coffee maker, microwave, dishes, and pots and pans. Please bring linens/ towels. One acre of beautiful woods with creek is located behind/along side the property, perfect for children to explore and adults to view. The property has front/side/back yard, lots of privacy.

Notes: Plenty of excellent golf courses are in the vicinity of Pentwater, Hart and Mears. Silver Lake Sand Dunes is an all time favorite destination for your vacation. Boat rentals of all kinds can be had there as well as dune buggy rentals. Horseback riding is 10 miles away as is a local winery that offers tours. The Charles Mears State Beach is just minutes away as we typically walk there. The beach at this park is renowned for its sugar sand beach and clean facilities which include showers and a snack shop. Sailing lessons are given to children in the summer on Pentwater Lake which is three blocks from this cottage. There is a picnic table outside on the covered porch that seats 8. There also is a dining room table inside that seats 6 If you have older children who don't want to spend all day at the beach, this is the location for you. It is a safe small town where children can fish at the marina and/or go into the shops, mini golf in town, while the beach is just a few minutes away.

The home is heated year round so there is no musty smell. We pride ourselves on renting you a clean and comfortable home for your Spring, Summer, Fall or Winter vacation. This home is located in the heart of downtown Pentwater. No need to get in your car at all during your vacation. You can walk to the grocery store, restaurant, beach, docks, stores, etc. Everything is just blocks away. Put your car keys away and enjoy the simplicity of life.

Other Activities: Silver Lake Sand Dunes, dune buggy rentals, wave runner rentals, all kinds of boat rentals. Salmon fishing charters, Hart/Montaque famed Bike trail

Our family rented this cottage this summer and found the cottage to be clean and well equipped. There was not anything we needed. (We did bring our sheets and towels as instructed). The cottage is just a one or two blocks from everything we needed, the town, the beach, fishing, grocery store, etc. The air conditioner worked fabulously in the home although we did not need it much as the home sits in the shade of a mini forest. Wood for our bonfires were surprisingly provided as was most everything else we could need or want including board games and movies that were suitable for our entire family. We will stay here again and highly recommend. One more thing to mention, the mattresses on the beds are of high quality and appear to be new. As a person with a tender back I am cognizant of these details.
