3 Bedroom Holiday Home Close To Uzes With Private Pool And Gardens.

If you're looking for the classic character house with a pool and outdoor space in which to soak up the real french experience, 'tigh chéilidh' is for you! The property is a delightful 3 storey stone village house on the edge of the lovely gardoise village of garrigues, close to uzes. The sunny roof terrace with uninterrupted views over the surrounding vineyards is the ideal spot for taking a leisurely breakfast or sipping aperitifs watching the sun go down, whilst the splash pool and sun deck provide a relaxing area for cooling down and unwinding. The small garden situated opposite the house, offers space to sit and chat or BBQ and dine on locally bought market produce.

Like all older stone properties, this comfortable, well-presented house has it's eccentricities which add to it's charm and character. On the ground floor, the stylish, well-equipped kitchen has vaulted ceilings and floor length windows which open out across to the garden and let a bright and airy feel into the kitchen. Decorated with a mix of traditional and modern furniture and with fully integrated conveniences, the house is a blend of old world charm and up-to-date facilities.

The property comfortably accommodates 5 people and comprises:

•living area - a lovely traditional living room with natural stone walls a vaulted ceiling and a large open fire place (fire guard provided). The living room also has a bed coach for anyone requiring additional bed space.

•the dining area provides a lovely cool area to enjoy a meal and comfortably accommodates 6 adults.

•the kitchen is a modern stylish well equipped room which enjoys vaulted ceilings, large floor length glass doors and an open outlook across to the garden given the room a light airy feel.

•the master bedroom on the 2nd floor has a lovely large double bed, floor to ceiling wardrobes and an ensuite shower room with a private roof terrace. The access to the main spacious roof terrace is also from this room.

•bedroom 2 on the first floor is a large light and airy room offer great views of the local area, it contains a comfortable king size bed, which can also be split into twin beds if required.

•bedroom 3 is a cosy and attractive room with another lovely view and a single bed.

A travel cot is available if required.

•bathroom 1 is on the first floor and offers a toilet, bath and shower in a comfortable room.

•bathroom 2 is also on the first floor and offers a toilet and wash hand basin. This room is also the laundry room.

•bathroom 3 is on the 2nd floor and offers a toilet, shower and enclosure with full height sliding glass doors opening onto a small private terrace.

About Raymond Millar

The property is owned by us Emma & Raymond Millar, we are originally from Scotland and currently live in the Middle East. We have been in Dubai, UAE for over 5 years now and work in IT and in Oil & Gas. Emma spent her childhood summer holidays in France and it has been a dream of theirs to own a traditional French house with view of the countryside.

Why Raymond Millar chose Garrigues-Ste-Eulalie

With our busy lifestyle in Dubai, we were looking for a 'pied a terre' in France, where we could invite our friends and relax with good food and wine, but also have access to some of the fabulous sites and cites in this part of the Mediterranean.

'Tigh Chéilidh' or ‘The Meeting Place’ was renovated back 2009, and whilst it retains the character and eccentricities of an older property, it also has all the mod cons. The house boasts a master suite with en-suite bathroom as well as a large double and single bedroom with a bathroom to share; and there is a spacious and secluded garden, that is ideal for enjoying a good book or barbecuing. Ideally located on the outskirts of the village, there are magnificent views of the French countryside that can be enjoyed from large the roof terrace.

Garrigues-Saint Eulalie Is a charming village 10 minutes drive from the market town of Uzes and 20mins from the Pont du Gard. The village enjoys the benefits of a very good bakery with small shop and 2 restaurants, one that is within easy walking distance. There is plenty to do in the surrounding area including horse riding and visiting some of world’s most famous wineries.
