About Palmas Del Mar:
The beach at Palmas extends for 3½ miles along the Caribbean. Lined with palm trees and seagrape, this ribbon of golden sand begins in a crescent-shaped cove, rounds Candelero Point, and then continues north along the coast. Many of the rentable condominiums and the Four Points by Sheraton are a short walk from that first crescent, which also has a small water sports center with boogie boards and snorkeling equipment and the Bohio Beach Bar.
Golf Courses. There are two 18-hole golf courses.
Fitness Center. Located above the tennis pro shop, this windowed and mirrored room contains seven Cybex workout stations as well as Stairmasters, treadmills, exercycles, and free weights. To one side is an open carpeted area for stretching. A personal trainer and fitness instructor is available. Just outside is a small swimming pool.
Palmas also has an equestrian center, which offers trail rides through a tropical landscape and down to the beach.
