Welcome to our Gulf-front 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo at the Palms. Watch the dolphins play in the Gulf from your huge tiled Gulf-front balcony that runs the length of the master bedroom and living room. The living room, dining room, and master bedroom all have Gulf front spectacular views of the emerald waters of the Gulf. Free high speed Internet is accessible from the living room. The master bedroom has a king bed, sliding glass doors that enter onto your private second floor gulf front balcony. The Palms is a small 23 unit complex with covered parking. We also have a 1bedroom at the Breakers.

There are several things to do!: This Gulf area is known for many activities and not limited to riding jet skis, renting pontoon boats, fishing for big game, shopping at outlet malls, or simply just hanging at the beach.

Great Location: You are right next to the town of Destin but you avoid the traffic congestion. Fort Walton does not have high rises so you can get to the beach quickly.

Here are comments from recent renters.: We stayed 3-4-07 until 3-11-07, The room was perfect. It had everything we needed. The condo was decorated so nice, it was homey, it truly made us not want to leave. The view was beautiful, sat out everyday and just relaxed, loved to see all the dolphins out there playing. I got some amazing pictures, and the weather was great. Thanks a lot for everything, we plan on coming back next year... Thanks Stan and Christy We rang in the new year and had our best Fl vacation ever at Doug and Kathy's condo. our stay from Jan first thru March 3rd, 2007 was outstanding! Even on a rainy day, the view will take your breath away. Our photos of the two months we enjoyed walking on the beach and exploring new restaurants made a beautiful slide show. We visited the Pensacola Naval Museum (free admission and the kids will love it.) A three hour drive to Bellingrath Gardens in Mobile, AL is an absolute must if you have time for a day trip. It was a featured article in March issue of Country Living.

Golf: There are several nice golf courses in the area.

Endless Summer Found!

Hi, Kathy!
Our visit was wonderful and, you are right, it was not long enough. The weather cleared just as we finished unpacking so we were able to enjoy the unusually (?) large breakers that afternoon. The next day (although forecast for 50 % showers) was beautiful and we got to enjoy the water again. We tried the wave surfing but even though the waves were big they weren't quite big enough and the undertow was pretty strong. Thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful aqua green water. It was like being kids again. Didn't see any dolphins but being native Floridians we have seen them before, so not so much a big disappointment for us.
The views from your condo were as spectacular as shown on the website and the beach so close it was like having our own private area. I took a few pictures from the balcony but I don't think they were as good as yours. Enjoyed your condo too. It was so much nicer than staying in a motel. Enjoyed the lack of traffic in that vicinity and the lack of crowds. Enjoyed just hearing the surf and watching the birds. Enjoyed it so much I forgot to watch my standard Wednesday and Thursday night programs on TV. It was just what we needed and even if our visit was short it was a wonderful place to have a mini-vacation.
We loved our dinners in Destin at Fisherman's Wharf and also Hard Rock Cafe (in shopping center behind Bass Pro Shop), both on Hwy 98. It was hard to choose because there were so many neat/delicious sounding restaurants in Destin and Ft. Walton.
Thank you for letting us use it even though I know renting it for only two days was probably an inconvenience for you.
We loved Okaloosa Island so hope to return someday. Thanks again for everything.

Great for beach lovers

We stayed here for a week in July 2009. I have to say that it was more than what we were anticipating! The pictures on here do not reflect how close the beach actually is to you. We could not have asked for a more perfect condo. We awoke every morning overlooking the beautiful beach from our bedroom. This has got to be one of the prettiest beaches I've ever seen. The weather was great and the water was fabulous! Very clear and teal blue on most of the days we were there. We saw dolphins a few mornings and jellyfish two of the days that we were there. The dolphins are out very early in the morning, so enjoy getting up with the sunrise. Everything was well kept and we had everything we needed right there. We were close to any sight seeing that we wanted to do and enjoyed going to the Track one evening. It's a must for those of you that enjoy mini-golf and go carts! We did most of our cooking right in the condo, so only experienced Hard Rock Cafe in Destin, and it was great. I would definately recommend this to anyone and am hoping that we will be able to come back again! Thanks again Kathy for making your home ours!

The Palms

The property was in a great location with a great view of the beach. We did see dolpins in the water one morning. There were lots of things to do in the area. We had some great local seafood and enjoyed shopping at the outlet mall in Destin. The Gulfarium was fun and we took a dolphin cruise which was great as we saw many dolphins in the water. Our daughter went parasailing in Destin and totally loved the experience. We would come to the area again as it is very family friendly and the beach was awesome...great white sand and emerald water.

BEST YET. ME AND MY FAMILY HAVE BEEN TO THE DESTIN AREA 4 TIMES IN THE LAST 2 YEARS AND THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST PLACE WE HAVE STAYED. THE FORT WALTON AREA IS SO MUCH MORE RELAXING THAN THE DESTIN AREA. THE BEACH IS GORGEOUS AND VERY WELL KEPT. THE CONDO IS BY FAR ONE OF THE NICEST AND BEST KEPT THAT WE HAVE STAYED IN. I CAN'T THANK KATHY ENOUGH FOR LETTING MY FAMILY ENJOY THERE HOME FOR OUR SPRING BREAK. I WILL RECOMMEND THIS SPOT TO ALL MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY.
