Come see the views from our tree house in the sky. This newly built but old-fashioned 'water tower style' house is a unique, airy yet cozy place to spend your getaway. It is located in the quiet, historic town of Pescadero, and surrounded by gently rolling hills. It is private and relaxing yet only a short walk to town. You can stroll to Duarte's Tavern and have some of their world famous pies, soup or artichoke omelets, peruse the local gift shops or enjoy the historic walking tour. Within a short distance are the beach, bird watching, towering redwoods and much more. A scenic 45 minute drive to the north will bring you to San Francisco: the same distance to the south is Santa Cruz.
The ground floor of the three story tower houses the carport and washer/dryer and is surrounded by gardens. On the second floor you will find the cozy and romantic and very private bedroom and bath. A covered deck and bench. The third floor of this Castle Keep offers a 360-degree view through large French doors on every wall. Here you will find a fully stocked kitchen, living and dining area and a computer desk complete with T1 line ready for you to plug into. Circle the entire house from this height on the outdoor deck and see for miles in every direction.
This house, designed and built by a creative master builder includes such special features as Venetian plaster relief walls and rustic pine plank floors. The wraparound, vine covered deck and spacious grounds bring the outdoors in. The dream of old fashioned, small town living is our gift to you if only for a short while.
Guest Book:
Love this one-of-a-kind place . . . feels like a tree top fire look-out cabin. Am the first to see the sun rise and the last to see it set, having witnessed the play of the sun on the surrounding pastoral hills all day. The nights here are so quiet . . . the street 'rolls up' early . . . you can hear the constant muffled roar of the ocean two miles away, and quite often the calls of coyotes, owls, and frogs. You gotta try this. You won't regret it.
