Relaxing Cottage in Maui

We came to Maui for a conference at the nearby Maui Westin, but elected not to stay at the host hotel due to costs. We are very happy that we chose to stay at Ann's cottage. From the beginning, Ann was very easy to communicate with, answering all of my questions quickly and providing me with additional information that she thought I might find useful. When we arrived, the cottage was very clean and well maintained. While it did appear as pictured, one thing that I did not realize until I arrived is that privacy is somewhat limited by the fact that the master bedroom does not have its own door and opens directly to the living area. Also, because most of the rooms share an open ceiling, noise may be an issue if you are sharing the space with noisy people. However this did not seem to be a problem for us. Best of all, it contained everything we could possibly need for our trip (for example - full kitchen with ample kitchen supplies for cooking, washer and dryer for laundry, beach supplies including towels, snorkels - I highly recommend snorkeling at nearby Black Rock where we got to swim with the sea turtles!, boogie boards, beach chairs, etc., books for reading at the beach, we even found a CD guide for the Road to Hana drive which we took advantage of and found to be very helpful). The location of the cottage was also convenient - literally steps from the resort swimming pool, just a short walk to the beach and Whaler's Village, and short drive to many nearby restaurants, shopping and grocery stores. Overall, we highly enjoyed our experience and would recommend this cottage to others.
