Had a great stay in this house in Durango. We saw many different birds here! All noted in our western bird book. The trip to Silverton by train was beautiful. What a countryside! We would have liked to stay longer. No suprise that so many people wanted the same! It's the best of both sides: Durango- very lively and the house so close but in beautiful nature. We're glad we could make your son happy with the Ajax-football shirt. Amazing that he is a fan of Dutch (Amsterdam) football team! Jan and Jneke- Holland (near Rotterdam)
What a wonderful vacation rental. Love both the outdoor & indoor space this property has to offer. This was the absolute perfect spot for our 2 border collies used to spending their days on acreage. We enjoyed the well-appointed & maintained home. The views are beautiful. The tennis court, hot tub & other activities are a real plus! Shout out to Romantic Vacations for a great rental experience.
We rented this cottage for a snowboarding trip with 2 couples. The house was perfectly located about 15 min from town and maybe 45 min from purgatory. The cottage was nice and cozy and met all our needs. It was clean with a cute antique feel. The two bigger bedrooms had nice size beds. One of the rooms contained a smaller bed. The living room was cozy and had a cute fireplace that we used. The only thing missing was a bigger couch we could fit in, but we squeezed together :) They had satellite in the LR and the room which we appreciated. Loved the kitchen and loved the big table. We spent lots of time here. We also got to see snow and had a great snowboarding trip. We would love to come back.
Lovely cottage with a large kitchen and carefully decorated. Perfect for a family get together. We used Durango as our base for a full week of adventures including paddling the Animus River, Mesa Verde National Park and the great hot spring in a cave in Ouray. Great hosts and a great place to stay!
The Farmhouse is like going to Gramma's. The antique charm and cozy warm feeling of the place; nestled in along the edge of the valley, welcomes you HOME from day trips to Silverton, Ouray, Pagosa Springs and Downtown. We enjoy riding our motorcycles on the Million Dollar Hwy. And, love that we have plenty of room to park the trailer inside the gated and fenced yard. That's why we come back!
My son and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the farm house. Your house and property were immaculate. The Animas Valley setting was totally Colorado. On the first morning my son took a bike ride on CR 250 to/from Bakers Bridge. He saw 3 deer, caught his first rainbow trout in the Animas and saw a black bear on his way back to the farm house. All before 7:00 AM. No better way to begin a vacation. Our week's vacation was truly memorable. Can't wait to return to one of your properties.

The property was very calming and relaxing. The farmhouse was big enough for our family of four. We loved cooking in the kitchen nightly and sometimes on the outside grill. The hot tub was relaxing after hiking and we really enjoyed the outside tennis court and basketball goals. We saw wildlife on the property and thoroughly enjoyed the scenic views outside the farmhouse, especially in the mornings while eating breakfast on the patio table. We hope to return to Durango one day as the accommodations and the summer activities available were very impressive.
