The home sits on a 20 acre parcel which backs up to spectacular cliffs and provides stunning views of the coveted, Animas River Valley. Enjoy the convenience of being close to Durango restaurants and activities, while still in a quiet, cozy setting. Experience the beauty and magic of Mesa Verde, skiing at Durango Mountain Ski Resort or taking the historic train ride on the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad!

Things to do include exporing national forests, hiking, biking, rafting, art, music, festivals, fishing, wildlife watching out your front door, great restaurants, million dollar drive in your car, casinos, stargazing and privacy with great views.

Great winter trip

Our family came to stay for our winter break and had a great time playing in the snow and hiking, also spending time together in the great kitchen and the cozy parlor. Convenient to all Durango activities.
Looking forward to a return trip.

Wonderful House Outside Durango

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the "Farmhouse". The description of the house is a little understated, as the property is more than we expected. The kids loved the hot tub, horseshoes, ditch, swing rope, and tennis court. We definitely recommend this property.

The house itself was wonderful. The kitchen was extraordinary with everything we could have wanted. The bedrooms were nice, especially since each of the kids was able to have his and her own room. The location, just 10 minutes from Durango and Fort Lewis College was perfect. It was amazing to be so close, but to also have such isolation.

The owners were great. We did not have any problems and only one question, which they answered promptly.
Recommended for:  Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

What a countryside! From Zwgndrecht, Holland

Had a great stay in this house in Durango. We saw many different birds here! All noted in our western bird book. The trip to Silverton by train was beautiful. What a countryside! We would have liked to stay longer. No suprise that so many people wanted the same! It's the best of both sides: Durango- very lively and the house so close but in beautiful nature. We're glad we could make your son happy with the Ajax-football shirt. Amazing that he is a fan of Dutch (Amsterdam) football team! Jan and Jneke- Holland (near Rotterdam)

Second Home- from Laguna Beach

Beautiful place! Air Force, Colorado now

As a military family we have traveled and visited many beautiful places. Rob and Lana your home reminds me of so many childhood memories. I was raised on a farm in Ky and so many "little" details here remind me of those days. Your farmhouse is great! Updated nicely but yet so many things in the home help hold it's character! Great Job! My six year old has enjoyed running the grounds and exploring- all children should grow up with nature and freedom. We are excited about the snow! Day sleedin, Santa's sleigh all great! As a photographer I am in awe at all the great "white" things to snap. Saw elk today my first since moving to Colorado. Thank you for "lending" us your home- made for a perfect holiday and nice re-union with husband/father back from Afghanistan! We enjoyed many nights by the fire and enjoyed the view from the window. Again, your home is beautiful, what a wonderful job providing all a family would need! Thanks! with gratitude and love! The Macks'
