Fantastic scenery complete with sandy beach area and dock for great swimming, fishing, boating, and pond skating in winter months. Notes: The water in Crescent Lake is absolutely gorgeous; very clean, small sandy beach [rare for the lake] gradually extends into the water. There is no 'muck' as the lake bottom surrounding the beach and dock are annually raked free of leaves and debris. Very safe sloping water level is great for kids. The Lake is quiet and barely used as 1 or 2 boats is more rare than not a boat in sight. Swimming, fishing, canoeing, rowboating and kayaking are perfect! The house is only 3 years old and has all the linens, towels you need; also included paper towels, toilet tissue, kleenex, aluminum foil, etc.

Lake details - : Our cottage is located on Crescent Lake, a quiet lake big enough for any activity such as water skiing, fishing, swimming and boating. The lake may have only 1-2 other boats on it at any one time making for plenty of room. Canoeing, kayaking can be done safely and without constant wakes from motorboats screaming past. There are no 'cigarette boats' allowed! The lake is undiscovered and available. An evening row in the canoe or rowboat with a bottle of wine and a cigar is a real treat. So is the possibility of morning water skiing on super flat water with no one else to prevent your best moves. In contrast, is the huge Lake Winnipesaukee located within 5 minutes walking distance. It is crowded with lots of boats and lots of activity. The Mount Washington motor ship and the Winnipesaukee Belle both ply the waters of the entire lake. It is exciting and a nice place to visit, but most people love to rent a jet ski on the big lake and then end their day at our cottage.

Golf details - : Kingswood Golf Course is located right in Wolfeboro and is a private/public course with great views and solid golfing conditions. The public is welcome without any snobbery and is a friendly atmosphere. Several other courses in the area also provide great golf and are open to the public.

Ski: Gunstock Mountain can be reached in 30-40 minutes, depending on road conditions. A great medium sized family mountain. No big traffic jams, reasonable ticket prices and night skiing too.

Other Activities: boat rides on the Mount Washington motor vessel, canoeing, kayaking, skiing 30 minutes away

Great Rental in Wolfeboro

This rental property was past our expectations. It was a beautiful home and close to everything you wanted and needed. All the amenities were available (sheets, towels, and best yet, wood for the fireplace!) We were unable to utilize the lake activities since we rented in Dec, but the fireplace made it a very nice and relaxing weekend.
We will definitely return and are planning already.

Wolfboro NH Great spot hoping to return in 2010

As first time vacationer's at “income properties” We can assure all who read this that this house is truly beautiful over looking a lake and very secluded– it’s someone’s actual home, and you are at home on the lake from the minute you arrive.
My husband and I along with another couple spent 5 wonderful days at this home, to go to a Nascar race in Loudon. It was a perfect vacation. The house is on a beautiful quiet lake, we were in the woods, and we truly were “away from it all,but the nice thing was if you wanted to be around people it was only a 15 min walk to the village of Wolfboro or just minutes by vehicle .” At night, from under the stars, we heard the loons through the open windows. My husband, who has problems sleeping, well, he slept soundly through the night every night.
In the mornings we were up early to enjoy our coffee and watch the mist burn off the lake along with the ducks swimming about. During one day of our holiday we sat on the deck reading and catching up with what has been going on in each of lives, which is something we never seem to have time for when at home in Ontario and looking out over the lake at the stunning fall foliage which was just starting. At dinnertime, we thoroughly enjoyed cooking in the fully equipped kitchen. The furniture is comfortable and the décor is thoroughly charming, and the house is well designed to accommodate a larger group of vacationers, but we found it just great for the 4 of us. The house was clean, well maintained and the owner was very helpful with any questions we had before we left Ontario. I would most definitely recommend this house to anyone looking to "get away from it all."
This house is so relaxing - you’ll never want to leave.
