CHARMING ADIRONDACK COTTAGE WITH FREE DOCK SPACE ON HUDDLE BAY IN LAKE GEORGE.

We have been staying at this cottage every June for many years. The owner is very pleasant and agreeable. She is genuinely interested in assuring you enjoy your stay. The condition of the cottage is first rate, and every year it is evident that they are putting money into improvements on the place. The brown bear toilet paper holders alone are worth the stay!

There are two large bedrooms with queen (king?) size beds, and one with twin beds for the kids. All the windows open and have screens to let in the mountain air. There are two full baths with 3' X 3' shower stalls. There is lots of hot water.

The kitchen/dining/living area is very comfortable with many places to sit. There is a full kitchen with a full size fridge and stove/oven/microwave, and a dishwasher! The property is close to the road, so you do get minor road noise at night in the front bedroom, but a high stone wall separates the cabin from the road so it does offer privacy. There is access to a boat slip although I do not have a boat and therefore haven't used it.

The cabin is a couple miles from Bolton Landing and about 10 miles from Lake George. I like it this way. It is quiet, but you can get to restaurants and shopping in a few minutes.

The aspect of this cabin that I most notice is that, because of the cool air at night, I sleep better than I ever do at home.

My family and my sister's family have stayed at this cottage 4 times. We love the size and location! The living area and kitchen are a nice size for our party of 6. The bedrooms are very comfortable. It's a great rarity to have a washer/dryer and a dishwasher in a cottage in this area and they are all provided here. The deck has a nice dining table for outdoor dining. The yard is large and flat, great for family games. Getting to the lake is an easy walk with the option to bring your car to the waterfront where there is ample parking.

The town of Bolton is not far from the cottage. There are many great shops and restaurants. Michael's Steakhouse and Pappalooza's Pizzeria are very good. We get our deli meats and made-to-order sandwiches from Dave's Market. There's a small grocery market in town as well.

All in all, this is a great place to vacation. We can't wait until the summer of 2012 when we plan to stay here again!

Our family (4 adults -2 children) have stayed at this home at least four times since 2007. It is a lovely cottage - clean, very comfortable and we always feel at home. The two bathrooms, dishwasher, and washer/dryer are a great plus. The cottage is very airy with it's many windows and ceiling fans. We enjoy breakfast and dinner on the beautiful deck. Although it's not water front property - access to the lake is very easy. The kids love to ride their bikes to the beach where their kayaks and our boat await them. The large yard is great for games and relaxing around the fire pit making s'mores.
The proximity to the Town of Bolton Landing is wonderful - only minutes by car or boat. One of our favorite evening rituals is to take our boat on the lake to watch the sunset or fireworks then dock at the Bolton Landing town docks and get ice cream at Ben & Jerry's or take in the many evening events at the park.
Our favorite food places are Dave's Market -awesome for provisions for a day on the lake, Michael Arthur's Steak house, and Palazzo's Pizzeria.
The owner's of this property are wonderful and we had the pleasure of meeting them on one of our weekend visits to Bolton Landing. If you need to contact them for any reason, they are very quick to respond.
