Enjoy the Adirondacks from the privacy of our cozy, charming, knotty pine Lake George cottage which features three bedrooms (two with full-size beds and one with two twin beds), two bathrooms, a great room, full kitchen with dishwasher, washer/dryer, cable TV, screened porch, large wrap-around deck, BBQ grill, and outdoor fire pit. We also have a dock space for your boat (up to 20 feet) at no extra charge! Our cottage is located in a beautiful lakeside association of twelve homes. We are a three minute walk to the beach and lakefront, or you can drive to the beach where you will find ample parking. We are located on picturesque Huddle Bay which looks across to the Sagamore and is great for swimming and fishing. Lake George is the perfect spot to just relax in the sun, or take in some of the area attractions including Lake George Village, and Great Escape theme park. Rentals in July and August are from Saturday to Saturday.
Free Dock Space: We offer one free dock space for your boat up to 20 feet. This is a great value as dock space on Lake George is at a premium. No personal water craft allowed. We are now taking reservations for summer 2015.
Sheri and Fred Rubin live in the suburbs of Philadelphia, but have a real love of the Adirondacks. We purchased our Bolton Landing home about 17 years ago and enjoy it more and more every year. Our ultimate goal is to be able to spend three seasons in the Adirondacks. Until then, we spend as much time as we can in Bolton and rent the house out for several weeks during the summer. We enjoy knowing that other families are making lifelong memories at our home!
Our house is in the perfect location. We are a 3 minute walk, within our 12 home association, to the lake and beach. The beach is small and lovely and surrounded by a larger beautiful grassy area. We offer our dock space FREE OF CHARGE which is a huge value and convenience. Once out of beautiful Huddle Bay, we are directly across the lake from Log Bay and a short ride into The Narrows or the Village. Our home is 1.5 miles to the Town of Bolton for shopping and restaurants and 7.4 miles to the Village of Lake George. Bolton is also a great starting point to explore other areas of the Adirondacks, with attractions like The Wild in Tupper Lake, The Adirondack Museum in Blue Mountain lake , and Lake Placid as great day trips. You will enjoy wonderful evenings looking up at the amazing Adirondack star-lit sky while eating out on the large deck and enjoying an outdoor fire in the pit. We have had wonderful reviews from our prior renters, with many coming back every year.
Free dock space for up to a 20 foot boat!
My family stayed at the Rubin cottage for a long weekend and just loved it. The house is adorable, clean, and very well located. And, a big plus is that the owners give their dock space for free; a great value. It's within a mile or so of the Town of Bolton and about 10 minutes to the Village of Lake George. We would stay here again!
This was our 1st trip to Lake George. Having purchased our first boat, we were so excited that this lovely and very clean cottage came with a dedicated dock space. It is located on beautiful Huddle Bay in the quaint little town of Bolton Landing. The bay is protected making it clam (even during those not so nice days) which made docking very easy. The cottage is so inviting and just comfortable all around. It was especially nice that it has all the amenities you could possibly need where so many we looked at only provide some (A/C, dishwasher, washer and dryer, microwave, 2 full bathrooms (one en-suite), beach and free dock!). The owner is extremely pleasant and very helpful. This will be our ‘go-to’ rental in Lake George hands down! Thanks for making our vacation a great one!
We have stayed at this cottage for past few summers and look forward to going back again this year. The cottage is clean and the owner is a pleasure to deal with. The house is very spacious. The deck is our favorite part especially at night! Our kids can ride their bikes to the lake and having a boat slip right down the hill from the house is an added plus! The house itself is well maintained as well as the property. We have never had a problem. Bolton Landing is a beautiful quaint town that has several good eateries as well as a food store which is very convenient.
We have been staying at this cottage every June for many years. The owner is very pleasant and agreeable. She is genuinely interested in assuring you enjoy your stay. The condition of the cottage is first rate, and every year it is evident that they are putting money into improvements on the place. The brown bear toilet paper holders alone are worth the stay!
There are two large bedrooms with queen (king?) size beds, and one with twin beds for the kids. All the windows open and have screens to let in the mountain air. There are two full baths with 3' X 3' shower stalls. There is lots of hot water.
The kitchen/dining/living area is very comfortable with many places to sit. There is a full kitchen with a full size fridge and stove/oven/microwave, and a dishwasher! The property is close to the road, so you do get minor road noise at night in the front bedroom, but a high stone wall separates the cabin from the road so it does offer privacy. There is access to a boat slip although I do not have a boat and therefore haven't used it.
The cabin is a couple miles from Bolton Landing and about 10 miles from Lake George. I like it this way. It is quiet, but you can get to restaurants and shopping in a few minutes.
The aspect of this cabin that I most notice is that, because of the cool air at night, I sleep better than I ever do at home.
My family and my sister's family have stayed at this cottage 4 times. We love the size and location! The living area and kitchen are a nice size for our party of 6. The bedrooms are very comfortable. It's a great rarity to have a washer/dryer and a dishwasher in a cottage in this area and they are all provided here. The deck has a nice dining table for outdoor dining. The yard is large and flat, great for family games. Getting to the lake is an easy walk with the option to bring your car to the waterfront where there is ample parking.
The town of Bolton is not far from the cottage. There are many great shops and restaurants. Michael's Steakhouse and Pappalooza's Pizzeria are very good. We get our deli meats and made-to-order sandwiches from Dave's Market. There's a small grocery market in town as well.
All in all, this is a great place to vacation. We can't wait until the summer of 2012 when we plan to stay here again!
Our family (4 adults -2 children) have stayed at this home at least four times since 2007. It is a lovely cottage - clean, very comfortable and we always feel at home. The two bathrooms, dishwasher, and washer/dryer are a great plus. The cottage is very airy with it's many windows and ceiling fans. We enjoy breakfast and dinner on the beautiful deck. Although it's not water front property - access to the lake is very easy. The kids love to ride their bikes to the beach where their kayaks and our boat await them. The large yard is great for games and relaxing around the fire pit making s'mores.
The proximity to the Town of Bolton Landing is wonderful - only minutes by car or boat. One of our favorite evening rituals is to take our boat on the lake to watch the sunset or fireworks then dock at the Bolton Landing town docks and get ice cream at Ben & Jerry's or take in the many evening events at the park.
Our favorite food places are Dave's Market -awesome for provisions for a day on the lake, Michael Arthur's Steak house, and Palazzo's Pizzeria.
The owner's of this property are wonderful and we had the pleasure of meeting them on one of our weekend visits to Bolton Landing. If you need to contact them for any reason, they are very quick to respond.
Our family can't hardly wait for our summer 2012 stay at this cottage once again!
We just got back from renting this cottage at Lake George first time renters . Wanted to let people know our experience. The house is great!
We had 8 people and plenty of room. Great owners very accomodating
We had a boat slip available for use as well. The house is not on the water, just a short walk down to the Lake. Would definitely rent again.
2 Baths was a big plus! Screened porch was great for when it rained
Our Bolton Landing cottage is located 7.4 miles from Lake George Village and 1.5 miles from the town of Bolton. In both family-friendly areas you will find shopping, restaurants, and seasonal events such as boat shows and craft fairs. Bolton Landing has two beautiful public beaches and swimming areas.
