The house has a fully equipped kitchen with a new radiant top stove, one full bathroom, a small den, a living room with a fireplace, a bar and an entertainment center containing cable TV, VCR and stereo, a dining room, four bedrooms and decks on both the back and front sides. The gas-fired barbecue grill is placed on the covered deck so it can be used in any kind of weather. There are 165 feet of private lakefront (no street to cross), a large sandy beach and a nice grassy lawn which slopes gently to the water. All types of sports activities can be played on this large lawn. The view of the lake and the mountains is spectacular. The colors of the sunsets & sunrises as seen from the beach, the house and the deck are like paintings. The clean, fresh water of the Great Sacandaga Lake is known as a fisherman's paradise as it is stocked annually to ensure great fishing. The quaint village of Northville, with its variety of shopping and restaurants, is only four miles away.

The Great Sacandaga Lake is located in the southern Adirondacks. The lake is 29 miles long and 5 miles wide at the southern end, where the house is located. The lake is dotted with small islands, which makes boating very interesting. The pristine waters are ideal for swimming, water skiing, sailing and boating. The village of Northville has a theatre group which offers theatrical productions throughout the year. The Saratoga Race Track is located an hour's drive away, as well as the Saratoga Performing Arts Center, which features the NYC Ballet and the Philadelphia Symphony Orchestra as well as concerts featuring big name pop stars. There are many fine restaurants in the area to satisfy all culinary tastes.

Wonderful Vacation Home

My family and I stayed here this summer and we had a wonderful time! The house is beautiful and very clean and we had more than enough room for the 8 of us. The property is very spacious and the lawn leading to the lake was great for the kids to play on. The kids also had fun on the private beach and having our boat right there with us all week was wonderful. The owners were so gracious and there for us when we needed to contact them. Although we had a few days with some rain, with all the games that were provided in the house and the DVD player, we were never without something to do. Everything you could possibly need is right nearby, laundry mat, grocery store, great restaurants, and of course the beautiful lake. We would definately recommend this rental.
