House, 4 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 9-11)

This home is ideal for a family vacation. The layout is great for either a large family or even two small families to vacation together. Located in a quiet family friendly neighborhood only steps away from a public beach that is perfect for fishing, kayaking, swimming and boating. The ocean is on the other side of the peninsula only one block away. The ocean side has a boardwalk that is great for bike riding and skating. Just a short walk away is the fun zone which is filled with arcades, restaurants, amusement rides, and the local nautical museum. The home is also only 7 short blocks to the ferry to the Balboa Island.

Once across on Balboa Island, you can spend the day shopping at the many boutiques and surf shops and eating at the many cafes and restaurants. The Catalina Flyer also launches from the peninsula allowing you to spend the day on another beautiful island without ever having to get in your car!

However, if you feel like driving, we are only minutes away from Angel stadium, Disneyland and world class shopping at South Coast Plaza and Fashion Island. Laguna Beach is a short distance away south on the classic Pacific Coast Highway. Going north on Highway 1 you can find Surf City in Huntington Beach, the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach and the charming city of Seal Beach. There is so much to do only minutes away!

The house can accommodate a family comfortably. The bedroom configurations are as follows:

Linens are not provided - However, each bed is fitted with pillows, mattress pad and comforter or bed spread. Please bring your own sheets and blankets.

Kitchen towels are provided. Please provide your own bath towels.

4 folding beach chairs are provided as well. You may choose to bring your own beach supplies such as bikes, boogie boards, and sand toys.

If you have ever been to Balboa, you know that it is a charming beach community filled with friendly people. It would be a vacation you would never forget.

About The Owner

Our extended family whale watching together off the Newport Coast.

The Owner purchased this house in 1965
Why The Owner chose Balboa Peninsula

This property has been a part of our family for almost a half of a century now. After several years of vacationing and spending time in the beautiful area of Balboa with her family and friends, our grandmother decided to invest in this home and make the beach tradition something our family would have always to enjoy. The home is very special to us and is filled with many of our own memories and past enjoyments. We chose to rent the home during the times when we were not using it ourselves. Our goal is to share the beauty of the area while also allowing other families to have the chance to create their own memories. Most of our tenants have vacationed with us for numerous years and they feel more like friends than renters. It is our pleasure to watch their families grow and share in the love of this simple and timeless home.
