Overview

Provincetown House Rental Photos and Description

House, 2 Bedrooms, 1.5 Baths, (Sleeps 4)

Designed and built by a furniture-maker, 'The Bungalow' is a 2-bdrm, 1-1/2 bath Arts and Crafts style house. Relax on the upstairs deck and enjoy the quiet wooded surroundings in this secluded bungalow haven. Set back from Bradford St. on a private drive, you'll still only be 1-1/2 blocks from the bay, a 5 minute walk to the gallery district and East End restaurants, and a 10 minute walk to town center. From the front door enter an open-plan 1st floor. The living/dining area is paneled in traditional bead-board, and opens to a generous kitchen with stone counter tops and modern appliances. Two bedrooms -- one with a queen bed and one with a double bed are on the air conditioned 2nd floor. Both bedrooms have french doors leading out to a private deck with an outdoor shower. The full bath with traditional tile and fixtures is just off the upstairs hallway. Hardwood floors are throughout. Full size washer/dryer. Parking for one car is adjacent to the house.

About Rick Wrigley

I live and work right near my two Provincetown summer weekly rental houses. Since I am local, I deal with guests directly – from key exchanges, to cleaning, to repairs, and anything in between. I try to be responsive to all of my renters needs. Both properties are fully furnished and have all the amenities of home!

Rick Wrigley purchased this house in 1995

Why Rick Wrigley chose Provincetown

I purchased this 5 acre parcel of land in 1995 and have designed and built 4 custom houses here. I built The Bungalow in 1997. My experience as a furniture designer/maker has enabled me give special attention to the finishes and detailing of the houses.

What makes this house unique

Walk or bike to galleries, shopping, bars, clubs, and restaurants, and beaches. When you return home to this secluded grouping of 3 houses, you'll be in a relaxing, quiet, and peaceful hideaway.

Guestbook comments from the owner

The last two weeks were wonderful. My family and I totally enjoyed the Bungalow. We had a wonderful 4th and I'm sure we'll be back next summer.

Best Accommodations Ever!

  • 5 of 5

This was our sixth stay in Provincetown in the past eighteen years and, without a doubt, the accommodations at The Bungalow were the best. It is not only a beautiful house, but it is immaculate! And the location is perfect: a secluded spot and very quiet. I would highly recommend staying here. We hope to come back next summer.

We were spoiled!

  • 5 of 5

This was an extravagant celebration trip for our 25th anniversary, and we were not disappointed by our choice. This is a very spacious 2 bedroom home. Both bedrooms have big closets and a dresser for your clothes. Hangers provided. Both bedrooms have a door out to the back deck that is nice and private and treed. There is a full bath upstairs for the bedrooms and a half bath on the main floor downstairs. Wood floors throughout except for the kitchen and baths which are tiled or stone. There was a full size washer and dryer for our exclusive use upstairs near the bedrooms. It has a fully equipped big square kitchen with a bar and two stools. We loved walking into Provincetown each day with our pup yet coming back to a serene setting for the evening. Each night we heard a fox crying outside our window, so we have solved the mystery regarding "what does the fox say." Rick was a gracious host who offered help whenever he saw us but gave us our space and privacy. It was a blissful month.

Such an awesome place!

  • 5 of 5

My group and myself just got back from our trip to PTown and we had SUCH an amazing time @ the Bungalow. This was the first time that I've had an extended stay in town and we lucked out. The bungalow was extremely clean and comfortable-- and was only a short walk into the center of town! I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a place that is convenient to all the activities in town while still getting some peace and quiet. We'll be back next year! Thanks so much!

Wonderful bungalow close to all attractions

  • 5 of 5

We (two adults and a baby) had a wonderful stay in the bungalow: it is very quiet and secluded (yet close to the center of Provincetown), very clean and a lovely decorated and charming home. Rick is a perfect host and we felt very welcome. When we come back to Provincetown, we definitely stay again in the bungalow. Thank you, Rick!

In a word...INCREDIBLE!

  • 5 of 5

Driving up the beautifully landscaped and private driveway, we knew we were in for a pleasant surprise. What we didn't realize is just how nice the house would be. (The online pics DON'T do it justice.) The bungalow is so well done inside, this is shabby/chic done right---filled with every possible amenity you can think of. Rick, who met us as we arrived, a genuinely nice guy who obviously cares about the property and the comfort of his guests, immediately made us feel welcome and at home. This is a property that you can't go wrong with---and dog friendly too?? It doesn't get any better in Ptown.

Gorgeous, cozy house

  • 5 of 5

We loved the privacy and quiet of the bungalow coupled with the convenience of being steps from the market, the theatre, Commercial Street and the water. Traveling with a small child can be a headache, but having all the amenities and comforts of this charming house made it much, much easier and more fun.
