Condo living

This condo is located nicely across the street from a popular boogie boarding beach, magic sands. Every morning we'd go there and boogie board which the condo supplies. In the evening we could go there to watch the sun go down. The open air trolley bus goes by the condo daily and stops close by. It costs 2.00 each per ride. The condo is on Ali Drive and if you go down to the end there is a lot of shopping and open air restaurants. We loved going to Lava Java. It is expensive but the food and service is great and they have wonderful singers. Farmers Market is on this street and the Market Place. We arrived after hours at the condo and had no difficulty getting in. We took our GPS so it took us right to the door. The office staff are very friendly and helpful. The condo is fully stocked and some nice touches we appreciated were having a roll of toilet paper, bar soap, and a printer. The condo itself was clean but we did find the dishes weren't always clean and this is likely because previous condo users didn't clean them properly. The outside of the fridge needed cleaning as well. The picture of the living room area doesn't match the actual contents. The sofa was different and the cushions were flattened in spots making it uncomfortable to sit on. We did contact the owner and got prompt service. I would recommend this condo to 55 and older but children are allowed. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would come again.
Owner's Response: Aloha, Just a quick response. My apologies about the dishes. My current tenants emailed me a few days ago and said there was a problem with the dishwasher, so maybe that was why they were dirty. My latest guest departed yesterday and I'm having a new dishwasher installed today. The front of the refrigerator is not dirty, we live in a salty environment and there are a few tiny yellowish spots in the paint on the refrigerator. I will update the living room picture, I had to replace the cream colored leather sofa as it had some stains and was very uncomfortable, so I purchased a new sofa last year and a new rug. I'll check the sofa for flat spots, as it's supposed to have a guaranty so far as the cushion wear, so thank you for that. I don't spend much time lounging there so I don't know these things unless someone tells me, so thank you, I appreciate comments so that I can keep everything there as comfortable as possible. I will update the picture as soon as the next tenants are gone. The condo itself is child friendly, the condominiums have some older tenants that are not necessarily as welcoming to children at the pool as I would like them to be (unless, of course, their own grandchildren are visiting). However, most people seem to want to take the children to the beach more than the pool, and since the beach is right across the street, it's very convenient. I find the older tenants are gone from the pool in the evening, so if the children are still wanting pool time then, it's not a problem. Mahalo, Penny
