This fantasy property also has four private bedrooms, two living areas
(each with sofa bed), four full baths and one half bath (all with Waterworks fixtures), two outdoor showers, six decks ---one of which has a spectacular spa, enjoying ocean and bay views. The owners have also created a series of outdoor 'rooms' for get-away reading and hammock naps throughout this large property.
Serendipitously, the property perches on Fire Island's highest point – as well as on the island's narrowest, where ocean and bay are closest. With large, wrap-around decks on three levels, it always provides a place to find sun or shade. And because of its proximity to ocean and bay, there is always a breeze. And both beaches are ideal for swimming, fishing, kayaking, sailing and beach-combing.
Designed by the internationally-celebrated architect Richard Gluckman, and recently enhanced by the celebrated (NYC-based) team of Andrew Kotchen and Matt Berman (selected by Brad Pitt to design one of his key projects) the house comfortably accommodates eight to twelve guests.
An all new second floor, all glass kitchen and dining area boasts sleek appliances, wonderful catering spaces and amazing views. Surrounding this space are several decks and a generous living room with fireplace.

A natural haven for those seeking luxury amidst the adventure and excitement of pure nature, this 'unknown neighborhood' is a half-mile from Water Island and two miles from the Pines. One of only four houses in Fire Island's most exclusive community, it is completely private -except for its myriad birds and butterflies. The property itself contains mature pines, hollies and cherry trees.

John Lennon, Greta Garbo and various contemporary celebrities wanting to escape from view have summered here and in nearby enclaves. The property shares with the other 3 homes a private dock and a wooden walk connecting bay and sea.
Our Captain will provide your own private taxi service upon request (and for an additional fee). Manhattan is only 70 minutes from our boat slip in Sayville. It is only another 15 minutes to our private dock on Fire Island.
From the property, our captain can whisk you in a 7 minutes cruise to dinner at the Pines or to more far-flung destinations. Restaurants, gourmet food shops and the New York Times are available (a mere 7-minutes away) in the Pines, or fresh food and other needs can be delivered direct to your home. In addition, we are happy to arrange for a private chef and daily maid service (weekly maid service is already included).
