About Laurie or Joe McCammon
The very first trip I took as a newborn was a day trip from Portland with my sister and parents to Boothbay Harbor. Since then, this area has been an annual destination for my family.
Laurie or Joe McCammon purchased this cottage in 2006
Why Laurie or Joe McCammon chose Boothbay Harbor
We found this property entirely by serendipity. We were exploring the scenic back roads around BBH and got out of the car at Linekin Bay Resort to take a walk, The cottage owner, Rosemary (for which we named the cottage) was in front of her cottage and we struck up a conversation. Her parents built the cottage by hand in the 1920's. We are still close friends.
What makes this cottage unique
We were simply captivated by the view - cove, bay, islands, sailboats, birds. It is hard to explain but the feeling inside the cottage is incredibly special, as if you can feel the decades of family joy and love the Corkums have experienced in it To us, it is worlds away, a return to an earlier simpler time when the real things mattered and things are quiet enough to really experience nature at its most glorious.
